摘要: The present invention relates to a dipolar LED and a dipolar LED module incorporating the same, in which an upper hemisphere-shaped base houses an LED chip therein and adapted to radiate light from the LED chip to the outside, and a pair of reflecting surfaces placed at opposed top portions of the base in a configuration symmetric about an imaginary vertical plane. The vertical plane passes through the center of the LED chip perpendicularly to a light-emitting surface of the LED chip. The reflecting surfaces are extended upward away from the top portions of the base to reflect light from the LED chip away from the imaginary vertical plane. A pair of radiating surfaces are placed outside the reflecting surfaces, respectively, to radiate light from the reflecting surfaces to the outside. In this way, light emission from the LED chip can be concentrated in both lateral directions.

摘要: A method for evaluating an anti-contamination level on a surface of optical recording medium is disclosed. The method includes forming an artificial fingerprint on the surface by contacting a stamp having an artificial material adhered thereto on an optical recording medium, and measuring a symbol error rate (SER) of the formed artificial fingerprint, to determine a sensitivity of the fingerprint and determining whether the optical recording medium is of good quality or bad quality depending upon the measured SER.

摘要: The disclosure includes a system, device, apparatus and programmed medium of measuring thickness of an optical disc by using an interference effect of the optical disc layer. Such a system can include: a spectroscope to separate light, reflected from a surface of an optical disc, into constituent frequencies thereof; an optical intensity measuring unit to measure intensities of the constituent frequencies, respectively, as a first spectrum of data; and a processor to do at least the following, convert the first spectrum data into a second spectrum of values that exhibits variation as a function wavelength and refractive index, transform the second spectrum using a Fast Fourier Transform, and detect a thickness of one or more of the spacer layer and the cover layer, respectively, based upon the transformed spectrum. The disclosed technologies have advantages for high precisely measuring thickness of an optical disc.

摘要: Provided are an apparatus and method for enhancing an image using a color channel. A pre-processing unit generates an inverted image by inverting a luminance component estimated from a red (R) channel among color channels of a red, green, and blue (RGB) color space of an input image. A channel merging unit generates a merged luminance (L) channel by merging an L channel of an International Commission on Illumination (CIE) L*a*b* (CIELab) color space of the input image and the inverted image. A contrast enhancement unit enhances contrast by expanding a histogram of the merged L channel. A color restoration unit combines the merged L channel whose contrast has been enhanced and chromaticity components of the input image, and converts a resultant color image to the RGB color space, thereby generating a restored image.
