The semiconductor device comprises a first switching measure for turning on/off a current flowing into the load, a current detector for detecting current flowing into the load, a second switching measure for turning on/off a connection between the current detector and the load, and a controller for controlling the first switching measure and the second switching measure. The controller turns on the first switching measure, before turning on the second switching measure at the start of driving of the load. The current detector turns off the first switching measure when detecting excess current.

    摘要: The helical scan reproducing apparatus for magnetically recorded digital information signal reproduces the digital information from the magnetic tape wrapped around the rotary cylinder. The digital information signal is recorded on a plurality of recorded tracks of the magnetic tape. The magnetic heads of the rotary cylinder scan the recorded tracks to reproduce the digital information signal. The reproducing apparatus has the standard playback mode in which it is operated to reproduce at the standard speed and the fast playback mode in which it is operated to reproduce at a higher speed than the standard speed. The tracking control in the reproducing apparatus controls the speed of the magnetic tape so that in the fast playback mode the magnetic heads precisely trace the particular regions of the tracks which particular regions have data for fast playback mode recorded. Each of the tracks is divided into a plurality of blocks. Each of the blocks has recorded therein the digital information signal and an identification signal formed of a track number for indicating the corresponding track and a block number for indicating the corresponding block. At least one particular block of the blocks on each track has the digital information signal recorded for the fast playback mode. The particular blocks are dispersedly arranged over the plurality of tracks in such a manner that in the fast playback mode the magnetic heads scan the particular blocks along their scan path on the magnetic tape.

    摘要: An optical disk reproducing apparatus for reproducing at a high access-speed an optical disk on which data has been recorded at a constant linear velocity (CLV) includes a control circuit for controlling reading of the disk recorded at a CLV to be rotated at a constant angular velocity (CAV), and a processor for changing the frequency of a reference clock to determine the processing timing of the reproduced digital signal in accordance with a transmission speed of the digital information signal picked up from the disk. A motor for driving the disk can be rotated at a constant revolution rate upon access to the disk, and thus it is possible to remove one of the factors for determining the access time in the conventional CLV type reproduction system, or the time for controlling the motor to rotate for a constant linear velocity in accordance with the position of the optical pickup.

    摘要: A magnetic recording method and apparatus which performs a quadrature phase shift keying operation on a digital information signal, superimposes a high frequency bias signal on the performed signal, records the resulting signal into a deep portion of a magnetic layer of a magnetic tape with a first rotational head, and records a video signal in a surface portion of the magnetic layer above a track formed by the former recording, with a second rotational head which is different in azimuth angle from the first rotational head, the frequency of the high frequency bias signal being set to a value which is about four times as high as the carrier frequency of the quadrature phase shift keyed digital information signal, thereby eliminating a 5th-order distortion component due to cross modulation of the high frequency bias signal and the carrier frequency.

    摘要: A digital signal recording/reproducing apparatus for enabling recording/reproduction at variable speeds including normal speed, and at least one of N-times normal speed and 1/N-times normal speed while maintaining the reproducing frequency constant so as to not require switching of analog circuits. At the time of reproduction at normal speed, N-times normal speed or 1/N-times normal speed, the feed speed of the magnetic tape and the timing of picking up of a reproducing signal from the magnetic tape are varied while the speed of revolution of a cylinder of a rotary head is maintained constant so that the timing of detection of pilot signals for generating a tracking error signal is varied to cope with difference in track scanning conditions in recording and reproducing modes.
