The to-be-detected parts of angle detection sensors are fixed to the inner member and an outer race of a constant velocity joint connected to the inner member, respectively. Detecting parts of the angle detection sensors are fixed to the outer member in face-to-face relation with the to-be-detected parts. The bearing assembly also includes a load conversion unit detecting a relative angular difference between the inner member and the constant velocity universal joint by comparing the detection signals from the detecting parts to detect the load acting on the bearing assembly.

    摘要: A bearing device for a wheel, where preload control is easy and a uniform amount of preload can be applied even if a bearing seal is installed in the bearing device. The bearing device rotatably supports a wheel and has an outer member (1), an inner member (2), and rolling elements (3) interposed between both members. The outer member (1) has on its outer periphery a vehicle body installation flange (1a), and double row rolling surfaces (6, 7) are formed on the inner peripheries of the outer member. Rolling surfaces (8, 9) facing the rolling surfaces (6, 7) of the outer member (1) are formed n the inner member (2). Between the rolling surfaces of both members (1, 2) are interposed the rolling elements (3). A sensor (4) for detecting the amount of preload of the bearing is provided on either the outer member (1) or the inner member (2).

This torque detecting device includes a target area subject to torque detection (3) provided in a surface region of a torque transmitting shaft (2) made of a steel material; a detecting coil (4) provided in a non-contact fashion in face-to-face relation to an outer periphery of the target area subject to torque detection (3); and a detection signal processing circuit (5). The target area subject to torque detection (3) is a layer of magnetostrictive material comprised of an Al diffusion layer. This diffusion layer contains Al diffused in a steel material in a concentration which gradually decreases from the surface in a direction radially inwardly of the torque transmitting shaft (2).

    摘要: To provide a compact bearing assembly equipped with a rotation sensor capable of detecting not only pulse signals for detecting the number of revolution, but also a home position signal, the bearing assembly equipped with the rotation sensor includes a rotatable member (2) and a non-rotatable member (3) with rolling elements (4) interposed between the rotatable and non-rotatable members (2) and (3) to permit the rotatable member (2) to be rotatable relative to the non-rotatable member (3). The rotatable member (2) is provided with a magnetic encoder (7) and the non-rotatable member (3) is provided with magnetic sensors (8A) to (8C). The magnetic encoder (7) includes first and second to-be-detected elements (7A) and (7B) each having a plurality of equally spaced, opposite magnetic poles defined therein so as to alternate with each other in a direction circumferentially thereof. The first to-be-detected element also has a magnetic characteristic disturbing element (15) provided at a predetermined site on a circumference of the magnetic encoder (7) for agitating a periodicity of the opposite magnetic poles. The two magnetic sensors (8A) and (8B) for detecting the first to-be-detected element (7A) are spaced in a circumferential direction a distance greater than a circumferentially extending width of the disturbing element (15), and are so positioned as to be held in substantially phase-matched relation with a cycle of repetition of the opposite magnetic poles.

The rotation sensor unit (31) includes a to-be-detected member (8) having a magnet and fitted to one of the raceway members (4, 5), and a magnetic detecting member (9) fitted to the other raceway member (4, 5) at a location confronting the to-be-detected member (8). This combined sensor and bearing assembly (1) is used at a location close to an electromagnetic coil (17) emanating a leakage magnetic field, in a condition in which a direction of flow of an electric current through the electromagnetic coil (17) is fixed in one direction so that a direction of a magnetic flux, with which the magnetic detecting member (9) is switched off, may coincide with a direction of the leakage magnetic flux.

    摘要: A ribbon cassette for accommodating a length of inked ribbon for use with a thermal wax transfer printer. The cassette includes a generally cylindrical supply casing having a supply slot defined therein so as to extend parallel to a first longitudinal of the supply casing and rotatably accommodating therein a supply spool, a generally cylindrical take-up casing having a take-up slot defined therein so as to extend parallel to a second longitudinal axis of the take-up casing and also to the supply slot and rotatably accommodating therein a take-up spool, a length of inked ribbon having opposite ends engaged with the supply and take-up spools within the supply and take-up casings, respectively. The supply and take-up casings are connected together so as to extend parallel to each other by means of an elongated front plate secured at its opposite end portions to respective front open ends of the supply and take-up casings, and a slender bridge having opposite ends secured to respective rear ends of the supply and take-up casings. The take-up slot is located at a level generally aligned with a plane, containing the first and second longitudinal axes, and opening laterally outwardly so as to confront the supply casing. The supply and take-up slots is so positioned relative to each other as to permit a portion of the length of inked ribbon extending between the supply and take-up slots to extend diagonally upwardly from the supply slot towards the take-up slot.
