    摘要: A bearing device for a wheel, where preload control is easy and a uniform amount of preload can be applied even if a bearing seal is installed in the bearing device. The bearing device rotatably supports a wheel and has an outer member 1, an inner member 2, and rolling elements 3 interposed between both members. The outer member 1 has on its outer periphery a vehicle body installation flange 1a, and double row rolling surfaces 6, 7 are formed on the inner peripheries of the outer member. Rolling surfaces 8, 9 facing the rolling surfaces 6, 7 of the outer member 1 are formed in the inner member 2. Between the rolling surfaces of both members 1, 2 are interposed the rolling elements 3. A sensor 4 for detecting the amount of preload of the bearing is provided on either the outer member 1 or the inner member 2.

The bearing device rotatably supports a wheel and has an outer member (1), an inner member (2), and rolling elements (3) interposed between both members.     摘要: To provide a bearing device for a wheel, in which a preload control is easy and a uniform amount of preload can be applied with a bearing seal being mounted, the bearing device for the wheel includes an outer member, an inner member and double rows of rolling elements interposed between the outer member and the inner member. The outer member has a flange on an outer periphery thereof and also has an inner periphery formed with two rolling surfaces. The inner member is formed with rolling surfaces opposed to the rolling surfaces of the outer member. The double rows of the rolling elements are interposed between the rolling surfaces of the outer member and the inner member. A sensor for detecting the amount of preload of the bearing is provided in one of the outer and inner members.

    摘要: A wheel support bearing assembly includes an outer member (1) having an inner peripheral surface formed with raceway surfaces (4), an inner member (2) having an outer peripheral surface formed with raceway surfaces (5) in face-to-face relation with the raceway surfaces (4) in the outer member (1), and rows of rolling elements (3) interposed between the raceway surfaces (4, 5). A ring member (21) made of a magnetostrictive material is fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the inner member (2), and a magnetostrictive sensor (23) and a displacement sensor (22) are disposed in the outer member (1) or a member (24) fixed to the outer member (1) to confront the ring member. The magnetostrictive sensor (23) measures a change in magnetic strain occurring in the ring member (21) and the displacement sensor (22) measures the distance between the ring member (21) and the displacement sensor (22).

    摘要: A vehicle wheel bearing apparatus has a wheel hub integrally formed with a peripheral wheel mounting flange at one end and a double row rolling bearing. The double row rolling bearing has an outer member integrally formed with a peripheral body mounting flange and with double row outer raceway surfaces. An inner member, including the wheel hub, is formed with double row inner raceway surfaces each arranged opposite to each of the double row outer surfaces. Double row rolling elements are freely rotatably contained between the double row outer and inner raceway surfaces. The double row rolling bearing is adapted to receive a predetermined preload. A separate outer or inner ring is arranged on at least one of the outer or inner members. A preload varying mechanism is arranged at an abutting portion between the outer and inner members to vary the preload applied to the bearing. The preload varying mechanism can be extended or contracted based on an output signal from a detecting sensor to detect the vehicle running conditions.

This torque detecting device includes a target area subject to torque detection (3) provided in a surface region of a torque transmitting shaft (2) made of a steel material; a detecting coil (4) provided in a non-contact fashion in face-to-face relation to an outer periphery of the target area subject to torque detection (3); and a detection signal processing circuit (5). The target area subject to torque detection (3) is a layer of magnetostrictive material comprised of an Al diffusion layer. This diffusion layer contains Al diffused in a steel material in a concentration which gradually decreases from the surface in a direction radially inwardly of the torque transmitting shaft (2).

    摘要: To provide a compact bearing assembly equipped with a rotation sensor capable of detecting not only pulse signals for detecting the number of revolution, but also a home position signal, the bearing assembly equipped with the rotation sensor includes a rotatable member (2) and a non-rotatable member (3) with rolling elements (4) interposed between the rotatable and non-rotatable members (2) and (3) to permit the rotatable member (2) to be rotatable relative to the non-rotatable member (3). The rotatable member (2) is provided with a magnetic encoder (7) and the non-rotatable member (3) is provided with magnetic sensors (8A) to (8C). The magnetic encoder (7) includes first and second to-be-detected elements (7A) and (7B) each having a plurality of equally spaced, opposite magnetic poles defined therein so as to alternate with each other in a direction circumferentially thereof. The first to-be-detected element also has a magnetic characteristic disturbing element (15) provided at a predetermined site on a circumference of the magnetic encoder (7) for agitating a periodicity of the opposite magnetic poles. The two magnetic sensors (8A) and (8B) for detecting the first to-be-detected element (7A) are spaced in a circumferential direction a distance greater than a circumferentially extending width of the disturbing element (15), and are so positioned as to be held in substantially phase-matched relation with a cycle of repetition of the opposite magnetic poles.

    摘要: A piston rod position detecting mechanism is proposed which can detect continuously or in a multiple-point manner that the piston rod position has changed due to increase or decrease in the protruding amount of the piston rod due to aging. The protruding amount from a cylinder end wall is detected by a position detecting mechanism comprising a detecting coil housed in a bobbin provided at the cylinder end, a flange portion formed on the piston rod, and a coil spring. Also, an autotensioner and an electromagnetic valve with such a position detector are proposed. Further, a belt tension adjusting device is provided with a detector for detecting the position of a tension pulley which is pivotable with increase or decrease in the belt tension.
