摘要: A surface light emitting semiconductor laser element, comprises a substrate, a lower reflector including a semiconductor multi-layer disposed on the substrate, an active layer disposed on the lower reflector, an upper reflector including a semiconductor multi-layer disposed on the active layer, a compound semiconductor layer having a first opening for exposing the upper reflector and extending over the upper reflector, and a metal film having a second opening for exposing the upper reflector disposed inside of the first opening and extending over the compound semiconductor layer, wherein the metal film and the compound semiconductor layer constitute a complex refractive index distribution structure where a complex refractive index is changed from the center of the second opening towards the outside. A method of emitting laser light in a single-peak transverse mode is also provided.

摘要: An optical disc apparatus including first to fourth disc guides. At the end of disc loading, the first one, in a fixed position, contacts a peripheral side face of the optical disc at a first point thereon to support the disc; the second one has a plane opposite to the peripheral side face which contacts the peripheral side face of the optical disc at a second point to support the disc while restrained from moving away from the side face; the third one contacts the peripheral side face of the optical disc at a third point to support the disc while biased by a spring; and the fourth one contacts the side face at a fourth point while biased by a spring to support the disc, and is restrained from moving against the resilience of the spring. The disc, supported by those disc guides, is chucked by a clamper.

摘要: A linear motor system that can extend the stroke of a linear motor, with power saving and at a low cost, is provided.In a linear motor system, constituted by a linear motor 100, a controller 7 for supplying a variable voltage, a winding switching device 6, for opening and closing phase windings 5 of individual phases that form a plurality of winding groups 4 that are separated in a stroke direction, the winding switching device 6 is constituted by a three-phase rectifying member, a semiconductor switch, which is located at both ends on the direct-current output side of the three-phase rectifying member, and a resistor and a capacitor, connected in parallel to the semiconductor switch. For each of the phase windings, which form the plurality of winding groups 4, separated in the stroke direction, one end is connected to the output end of the controller 7 and the other end is connected to an alternating-current input side of the three-phase rectifying member of the winding switching device 6. And by opening or closing the semiconductor switch included in the winding switching device 6, of the plurality of winding groups 4 separated in the stroke direction, only a desired winding group 4 is excited.

摘要: The present invention provides a blood cell separation membrane for separating blood into serum or plasma and blood cells while preventing hemolysis of the blood cells. Such a blood cell separation membrane can be obtained by impregnating a porous membrane for separating blood cells from blood supplied thereto with a solution containing a hydrophobic aminocarboxylic acid, a protein derived from silk, Tris, TES, ε-aminohexanoic acid, tranexanmic acid, or heparin and then drying the membrane.

摘要: A motion control apparatus for a four-wheel drive vehicle performs over-steer suppressing control when the vehicle is in an over-steer state so as to apply a braking force to a front wheel located on the outer side of a turning locus without lowering engine output, and performs LSD control for the front/rear wheels when the obtained difference between wheel speeds of the left and right wheels exceeds an allowable limit so as to apply a braking force for suppressing idle rotation to the one of the left and right wheels that is of higher wheel speed. During execution of the over-steer suppression control, the braking force for suppressing front-wheel idle rotation to be imparted to the front wheel located on the inner side of the turning locus by means of the front-wheel-side LSD control is lowered, whereby the rear wheels become unlikely to produce excessive idle rotation.
