摘要: A portable computer includes a base unit having a keyboard and a display unit rotatably coupled to the base unit. The display unit is rotatable between a closed position where the keyboard is covered and an open position where the keyboard is exposed. A latch member is provided on the externally exposed area of the display unit and latched to an externally exposed area of the base unit when the display unit is rotated to a closed position. The latch member is so mounted on the display unit as to be rotated toward and away from the display unit. The latch member is normally urged in a direction to rotate into engagement with the base unit under an action of a latching spring. The latching spring maintains the latch member in an engaged relation to the base unit when the display unit is rotated to the closed position.

摘要: A radar apparatus comprises a microwave head portion in which a solid state oscillator, such as a Gunn oscillator, is utilized to generate a transmitting signal wave to be transmitted toward a target as well as a local oscillation signal wave by which an intermediate frequency signal is obtained upon a receipt of a reflected wave from the target. A transmission-reception switch means connected to a hybrid coupler constitutes a switching means for switching the operation of the radar apparatus between a transmitting mode and a receiving mode. A signal processing portion is provided in which the instantaneous amplitude value of the intermediate frequency signal according to a phase variation of the intermediate frequency signal due to the movement of the target is obtained by sampling the intermediate frequency signal with sampling pulses, whereby the velocity and moving direction of the target are determined and, by combining such information, an alarm is actuated.

Specifically disclosed is a readily degradable resin composition comprising: an aliphatic polyester (A) which has biodegradability; and an aliphatic polyester (B) which has a solution viscosity (η inh) of 0.25 dl/g or less as measured in a mixed solvent composed of m-chlorophenol and 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene at a weight-based ratio of 4:1 at a concentration of 0.4 g/dl and at a temperature of 30° C. and a melt viscosity of 50 Pa S or less as measured at 190° C. at a shear rate of 1 rad/s and is capable of biodegraded at a more rapid degradation rate than the aliphatic polyester (A). Also disclosed is a readily degradable resin composition comprising: an aliphatic polyester (A) which has biodegradability; and an aliphatic polyester (B′) which, when hydrolyzed, can release an acid showing a pH value of 2.0 or less when dissolved in water at a concentration of 0.005 g/ml and is capable of biodegraded at a more rapid degradation rate than the aliphatic polyester (A). Further disclosed is a biodegradable container comprising the readily degradable resin composition.

摘要: A shutter curtain lifting prevention structure comprises a shutter curtain formed by connecting a plurality of slats via an interlock portion in the vertical direction, guide rails standing on both sides of an opening of the construction, and a cutout recess being integrally formed at the guide groove of each guide rail. The cutout recess is formed by horizontally cutting out the interior side plane portion of the front face located above and in the vicinity of the floor surface, such that when a bottom plate of the shutter curtain kept in a shut state is lifted, a connection portion of the bottom plate and the slat, which is opposed to the cutout recess is made engaged by the engaging portion defined by the cutout recess, thus preventing lifting of the shutter curtain.

摘要: Whether or not a luminance signal or an HD input signal is input to a picture signal recording apparatus is detected, and a recording mode is determined according to the detection of the luminance signal in a recording mode determining unit. In cases where the luminance signal is detected, first and second color difference signals of the HD input signal are alternately deleted on every scanning line. Thereafter, the luminance signal pertaining to odd-numbered scanning lines and the first color difference signal are time-compressed and multiplexed on every scanning line, and the luminance signal pertaining to even-numbered scanning lines and the second color difference signal are time-compressed and multiplexed on every scanning line. In contrast, in cases where the luminance signal is not detected, a luminance signal and first and second color difference signals of a normal picture signal input to the apparatus are time-compressed and multiplexed on every scanning line. Thereafter, the signals multiplexed are recorded on a magnetic tape according to the recording mode. Therefore, even though the number of scanning lines in the HD input signal is higher than that in the normal picture signal, the first and second color signals can be recorded within a limited frequency band.
