To provide a lactic acid polymer composition excellent in transparency, heat resistance and productivity, a molded article, a sheet and a multilayer sheet each of which comprises the composition, a thermoformed article obtained by secondary-forming the sheet or the multilayer sheet, and a process for producing the thermoformed article with excellent productivity. The lactic acid polymer composition of the invention comprises 100 parts by weight of a lactic acid polymer (A), 0.1 to 3 parts by weight of an organic crystal nucleating agent (B) comprising an aliphatic carboxylic acid amide having an amide bond, and 0.1 to 7 parts by weight of a crystallization accelerator (C). The thermoformed article of the invention is obtained with excellent production efficiency by thermoforming the sheet comprising the composition of the invention at a temperature of 60 to 130° C.

Compositions provided in accordance with the present invention contain 85-20% by weight of a propylene/1-butene random copolymer (A) having a melt index (ASTM D 1238-65T, 230.degree. C.) of 0.1-100 g/10 min, propylene content of 60-85 mol %, and a heat of fusion, as measured by thermal analysis with a differential scanning calorimeter, of 20-80 joule/g,15-80% by weight of an ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer (B) having a melt index (ASTM D 1238-65T, 190.degree. C.) of 0.1-100 g/10 min, ethylene content of 75-95 mol %, crystallinity index of 0-30%, and .alpha.-olefin having 3-10 carbon atoms, and 0-10% by weight of a tackifier (C), with the proviso that (A)+(B)+(C) is 100% by weight.The strippable protective film according to the invention is a single-layer or multi-layer film, with the proviso that at least one of the outermost surface layers of the film is composed of the composition.The compositions according to the invention are capable of providing strippable protective films which are excellent in flexibility, scratch resistance and heat resistance and, at the same time, which have appropriate initial adhesive power to articles to which they are applied and strippability therefrom and, moreover, which are less in change on standing even when they are stored for an extended period of time and are free from bleeding on the article surface even when they are stripped therefrom.

The novel propylene elastomer according to the invention contains (1) units derived from propylene in amounts of 50 to 95% by mol and units derived from 1-butene in amounts of 5 to 50% by mol, and has (2) triad tacticity (mm fraction), determined by the .sup.13 C-NMR spectrum (hexachlorobutadiene solution, based on tetramethylsilane), of not less than 90%, (3) an intrinsic viscosity (in decalin at 135.degree. C.) of 0.1 to 12 dl/g, (4) a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of not more than 3 and (5) a randomness parameter B value of 1.0 to 1.5, preferably 1.0 to 1.3. In addition, the elastomer desirably has properties that (6) the elastomer has a melting point Tm of 60.degree. to 140.degree. C., and the melting point Tm and a 1-butene constituent unit content M (% by mol) in the elastomer satisfy the relation -2.6M+130.ltoreq.Tm.ltoreq.-2.3M+155, and (7) a crystallinity C of the elastomer measured by X-ray diffractometry and the 1-butene constituent unit content M (% by mol) satisfy the relation C.ltoreq.-1.5M+75. Such propylene elastomer is excellent in rigidity, heat resistance, scratch resistance, transparency, heat sealing properties and blocking resistance. The propylene elastomer can be prepared using a specific transition metal compound catalyst.

Disclosed are a polypropylene composition comprising 95-55 parts by weight of polypropylene (A) and 5-45 parts by weight of an ethylene/1-butene random copolymer (B-1) which contains constituent units derived from 1-butene in an amount of 15 to 25% by mol; and a polypropylene composition comprising 95-55 parts by weight of polypropylene (A) and 5-45 parts by weight of an ethylene/1-octene random copolymer (B-2) which contains constituent units derived from 1-octene in an amount of 8 to 20% by mol. Each of the random copolymers (B-1) and (B-2) has an intrinsic viscosity [.eta.] of 1.5 to 3.5 dl/g as measured in decalin, a glass transition temperature (Tg) of not higher than -50.degree. C., a crystallinity of less than 20% as measured by X-ray diffractometry, a randomness parameter (B value) of 1.0 to 1.4 as measured by .sup.13 C-NMR spectroscopy. With respect to a melting point as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) as the main peak, the copolymer (B-1) has a value of not higher than 60.degree. C., while the copolymer (B-2) has a value of not higher than 80.degree. C.
