    摘要: In a transmission line, protrusions extend in line one after another in a direction perpendicular to the cross section in a part of a dielectric substrate, with a discontinuous portion therebetween. A lower-surface electrode is formed on a main surface of the dielectric substrate provided with the protrusions and on the outer surfaces of the protrusions. An upper-surface electrode is formed on substantially the whole area of the surface opposite to the lower-surface electrode. Further, a plurality of through-holes for connecting the lower-surface electrode and the upper-surface electrode, which are formed on both surfaces of the dielectric substrate, are aligned on both sides of the protrusions along the direction in which the protrusions extend. Also, coplanar lines and a circuit element are mounted on the upper-surface electrode. The coplanar lines are coupled at a predetermined position to a transmission path formed by the protrusions.

    摘要: A dielectric filter includes a single block made of dielectric material having three or more through holes in which an inner conductor is deposited to define three or more dielectric resonators coupled in a cascade manner. A reactance coupling arrangement is provided for coupling two spaced dielectric resonators with at least one dielectric resonator between them being skipped. By selecting the value of the reactance coupling arrangement, it is possible to provide a filter having a frequency characteristic in a desired format, including at least one pole at a selected point in an attenuation region thereof, without any increase in the number of stages of the dielectric resonators.

    摘要: Electrodes are formed on respective two main surfaces of a dielectric sheet wherein each electrode has an opening formed at a location corresponding to the location of the opening formed in the other electrode. The part defined by the openings serves as a dielectric resonator. Coupling lines are formed directly in the electrode opening. Transmission lines are formed on a circuit board. The coupling lines and the corresponding transmission lines are connected to each other via bonding wires. This structure makes it possible to minimize the external Q of a resonant circuit using the dielectric resonator. If an oscillator is produced using this resonant circuit, it is possible to achieve a large frequency modulation with and large output.

    摘要: An amplifying circuit is formed by a combination of a dielectric line waveguide and a semiconductor device. Two electrically conductive plates are provided substantially parallel to each other. Two dielectric strips are disposed between the two conductive plates, and a dielectric plate is further inserted between the dielectric strips. Ground conductors are formed on the dielectric plate. The ground conductors have an area which equals an amount required for blocking a RF signal propagating in the dielectric line waveguide. A slot line is formed between the ground conductors in a position intermediate opposed sides of the dielectric strips. Line-switching conductor patterns are provided at both sides of the ends of the slot line. A field-effect transistor is mounted on the slot line such that it bridges over the slot line. Accordingly, losses and distortion of an RF signal, which would occur in an input/output circuit, are suppressed, and the generation of parasitic coupling is eliminated. Further, the dielectric line waveguide is miniaturized free from an external circuit, and accordingly, the manufacturing cost is reduced as well.
