Abstract: A fluid regulating device includes a valve body, a control element, a control assembly, and a sense tube. The valve body has an inlet, an outlet, a valve port, and a control element adapted to be displaced relative to the valve port to control the flow of a fluid between the inlet and the outlet. The control assembly is operatively coupled to the control element and includes a diaphragm disposed adjacent a diaphragm chamber. The sense tube has a first end, a second end, and a sense hole. The first end is positioned to communicate with the diaphragm chamber, the second end is disposed adjacent the outlet, and the sense hole being formed in the sense tube between the first end and the second end and being oriented along an axis that is angled relative to an axis of the outlet.

Abstract: A stabilizer cartridge for enhancing stability of a fluid regulator is provided. The stabilizer cartridge includes a body, a first disk, and a second disk. The body is adapted to be disposed around a valve stem of the fluid regulator. The first disk is coupled to the body and defines one or more flow paths for facilitating pressure relief. The second disk is movably coupled to the body and is movable relative to the first disk responsive to fluid flow through the one or more flow paths of the first disk.

Abstract: A slam shut safety device includes a valve body, a valve disc, a reset pin, and a reset pin guide. The valve disc is disposed within the valve body and shiftable along a slam shut axis between an open position and a closed second position. The reset pin is operatively coupled to the valve disc and shiftable along the slam shut axis relative to the valve body between an untripped position placing the valve disc in the open position and a tripped position placing the valve disc in the closed position. The reset pin guide supports one end of the reset pin, thereby providing added structural integrity to the reset pin and valve disc.

Abstract: A damped actuator for a fluid regulator includes a diaphragm disposed in a housing, and a damper arranged to stabilize movement of the diaphragm in response to changes in pressure inside the housing. The damper includes a ball check valve arranged to allow air to exhaust out of the housing when above a preselected pressure. The damper may include interchangeable components so as to be modifiable to have different set point pressures to achieve different backpressures inside the housing.

Abstract: A pressure regulating device including a valve body, an actuator assembly coupled to the valve body and including a diaphragm, a valve seat disposed in the valve body, a control assembly operatively connected to the diaphragm to move responsive to movement of the diaphragm, and a travel stop. The control assembly includes a control element that is movable, relative to the valve seat, between an open position, wherein the control element is spaced from the valve seat, and a closed position, wherein the control element sealingly engages the valve seat. The travel stop is configured to engage the control element to stop movement of the control element upon reaching the open position. The travel stop is adjustable to change the open position of the control element, such that a wide open flow capacity of the pressure regulating device can be adjusted.

Abstract: A sound treatment assembly includes an outlet member having a bore extending along a longitudinal axis, and a first flange portion is adapted to be coupled to portion of a valve body of a regulator valve. The first flange portion includes a contoured mating surface adapted to mate with a corresponding contoured portion of an exterior surface of the valve body. The outlet member also includes a second flange portion disposed at the second end. A diffuser assembly includes diffuser housing extending along the longitudinal axis, and a first flange portion is disposed at the first end of the diffuser housing and is adjacent to the second flange portion of the outlet member. One or more diffuser elements are disposed within an interior of the diffuser housing to reduce noise levels in the fluid exiting the outlet member.

Abstract: A fluid regulator includes an actuator, a body assembly, and a balancing system disposed between the actuator assembly and the body assembly.
