摘要: An optical surface for softening a light/dark border of a lighting device for vehicles, having a grid of lens elements distributed over a base surface, by means of which a light bundle passing through the optical surface can be diffused in relation to a main direction, wherein the lens elements are each designed as micro-lens elements, which, on one hand, exhibit a central main emission surface, which follows a contour of the base surface, by means of which the light beams of the light bundle are deflected in a main direction corresponding to the contour of the base surface, and on the other hand, exhibit subsidiary emission surfaces, running at an angle to the central main emission surface, by means of which light beams of the light bundle are diffused in a diffusion direction in relation to the main direction.

摘要: The invention relates to headlamps for vehicles comprising a number of semiconductor-based light sources being arranged on a substrate, and comprising an optical unit having at least one lens with a lens face for the generation of a given light distribution, wherein the lens face can be calculated by means of a lens equation, which is formed by means of a conic section equation completed by a deformation parameter, so that the lens face is determined with a deviation from a conic section shape, wherein a first deformation parameter for the change of the lens face according to differing degrees of shape change in the direction of the optical axis and vertically to the optical axis are given on one hand and that a second deformation parameter for the change of the lens face according to identical degrees of shape change in the direction of the optical axis and vertically to the optical axis are given on the other hand.

摘要: An AC/DC conversion apparatus includes first, second, and third AC/DC conversion modules operated by a controller in two modes of operation. In the first mode, the input AC signal is 3-phase and each of the three modules are enabled to handle a respective one of the input phases. In the second mode, the input AC signal is single phase and the first and second modules are enabled to deliver output power based on the single-phase AC input, while the controller actuates an H-bridge switches in the third module to which active filter circuitry is connected, to reduce an AC component in the output signal. The active filter circuitry can be selectively connected to the H-bridge switches when single-phase operation is desired, which circuitry may be disposed in a filter housing having male electrical terminals that cooperate with corresponding female terminals associated with the third module.

摘要: In a method for measuring fine particulates in the vicinity of a motor vehicle with an optical receiving device, at least one LED (2, 3) arranged inside the motor vehicle lights up an outside air region. The optical receiving device is designed to capture the area under examination in a spatially localized manner and takes an intensity measurement in an area that is lit by the LED. The intensities measured are analyzed for diffraction patterns that depend on the size of the fine particulates. Additionally, a portion of the light that is coupled into the windshield is also analyzed for the presence of water on the windshield.
