Abstract:
A composite steel sheet including a steel base member; an undercoat having opposed surfaces and a thickness of 10-750 .mu.m obtained by spraying one or more spraying materials selected from metals, non-oxide ceramics, oxide ceramics and cermets onto the steel base member. The undercoat has an oxide layer of not less then 0.5 .mu.m in thickness on one of the opposed surfaces positioned away from said steel base member. A fired topcoat is formed on the oxide layer of the undercoat from a vitreous coating having a linear expansion coefficient of 4-11.times.10.sup.-6 /.degree.C.
Abstract:
To provide heat-resistant alloy members that maintain the resistance to corrosion at high temperature of the chromized layer formed on Ni- or Co-base heat-resistant alloys and which yet are improved in various mechanical properties. The improved Ni- or Co-base heat-resistant alloy member having a chromized layer that is characterized by having a chromium concentration of 25-80% and a thickness of 10-100 .mu.m. This member is produced by controlling both the vapor pressure of a chromium halide being used in chromization and the temperature therefor in such a way that the chromized layer being formed is adjusted to have a chromium concentration and a thickness within the ranges specified above.
Abstract:
In order to prevent production of build-up resistance and wear resistance on a roll for use in heat treating furnace effectively, an alloy layer, a cermet sprayed layer having reinforced zone and a chemical conversion coating are provide in this order on a roll substrate to form a multi-coating layer.

The dielectric layer includes a ceramic spray coating and a sealing component with which pores of the ceramic spray coating are filled, and the sealing component contains a metal organic salt containing a rare earth element.
Abstract:
A coating is formed on a surface of a base material of a furnace, and includes a base layer and a sliding material layer that is formed on a surface of the base layer and contains an oxide ceramic and a compound having a layered crystal structure. The sliding material layer causes the collided ashes to be slipped and facilitates the drop off of the adhered ashes. The base material forms a heat transfer tube or a wall surface of the furnace. The coating is also applied to a coal gasification furnace, a pulverized coal fired boiler, a combustion apparatus, or a reaction apparatus containing a furnace.
Abstract:
An insulated bearing includes an outer ring, an inner ring, and a plurality of rolling elements. At least one of the outer ring and an inner ring is made of metal, the plurality of rolling elements are provided between the outer ring and the inner ring, so as to be freely rolled, and at least one of the outer ring and an inner ring is coated with an insulating layer. The insulating layer is formed of a mixture in which silicon carbide and/or aluminum nitride as an additive are/is dispersed in aluminum oxide as a base matrix. The content of the additive is 1 to 40 mass % with respect to the total amount of the mixture.
Abstract:
A hearth roll includes a base roll, a thermally sprayed coating formed on the base roll, and a modified coating formed on the thermally sprayed coating. The modified coating is formed by modifying a part or the whole of a surface of the thermally sprayed coating by melting and solidification of the thermally sprayed coating, by irradiating a part or the whole of the surface of the thermally sprayed coating with an energy beam. The thickness of the modified coating is from 2 to 20 μm, and the Vickers hardness HV of the modified coating is from 1.2 to 1.4 times larger than the Vickers hardness HV of the thermally sprayed coating.
Abstract:
A thermal spray powder is provided that contains, as constituent elements, a first element selected from W and Mo; a second element selected from Co, Ni, and Fe; a third element selected from C and B; and a fourth element formed of Si. The amount of the second element in the thermal spray powder is 40% by mole or less. The mole ratio of the fourth element to the second element in the thermal spray powder is 0.002 or greater and 0.03 or less. The thermal spray powder has a crystal phase containing Co, Ni, or Fe; W; and C or a crystal phase containing Co, Ni, or Fe; W or Mo; and B. In an X-ray diffraction spectrum of the thermal spray powder, the peak intensity attributed to Co, Ni, or Fe is at most 0.1 times the largest peak intensity in the same X-ray diffraction spectrum.

There is provided an energy device for surgical operation capable of suppressing fixation of body tissue, wherein a coating layer is formed on an outer periphery of a base material constituting an operational area portion transmitting energy in an energy device for surgical operation operating in the operational area portion, and is comprised of a base coating formed on the base material and an outermost coating formed on the base coating. The base coating is made from silicon oxide or a compound containing silicon oxide, and the outermost coating is made from polysiloxane or a compound containing polysiloxane or a compound containing a partly fluorinated polysiloxane, and the coating layer has a good adhesiveness and is applicable to a complicated form.
Abstract:
Provided is a member for semiconductor manufacturing device which hardly causes component contamination and is capable of sufficiently reducing generation of particles in a semiconductor manufacturing device. A spray coating is formed by spraying a ceramic onto a mounting member of a transfer arm, and laser beam is irradiated to the spray coating to remelt and resolidify the ceramic composition for modification to thereby form a high-strength ceramic layer made from a ceramic recrystallized material and having a net-like crack, whereby particles dropped out from the mounting member due to external factors in a semiconductor manufacturing device are reduced to an extent not affecting a semiconductor manufacturing process.
