摘要: Disclosed herein are plant-based, molecular and diagnostic tools that can be used to block aphid transmission of poleroviruses, including stabilized proteins for expression in transgenic plants and/or in formulations for direct plant delivery. 摘要: An integrative computational soil mapping system and process that reduces the required number of soil property measurements without jeopardizing the statistical precision of the resulting digital soil maps. The integrative computational soil mapping system and process saves monetary resources and time by reducing the number of soil property measurements required to produce digital soil maps and by offering soil sample locations which capture the maximum amount of representativeness of the soil characteristics in a determined area. In addition, the inventive system and process are integrative computational soil mapping that utilize algorithms based on state-of-the-art computational statistics and machine learning methods for the production of digital soil property maps and also provides soil sampling locations to collect new soil property measurements. These soil property measurements can be used to update and potentially improve previous versions of digital soil property maps, produced by the computational process.

摘要: A new and distinct variety of apple tree rootstock Malus domestica x Malus robusta hybrid ‘G.66’ is described herein. The new variety is a productive, yield efficient, semi-dwarfing rootstock that is resistant to fire blight (Erwinia amylovora) and crown rot (Phytophthora cactorum). The ‘G.66’ rootstock is useful in that it can be propagated clonally and used as a rootstock or root system for apple trees as well as for interstems of apple trees.

摘要: A new and distinct cultivar of peach tree, denominated ‘Cardinal Joy’, has firm, melting, semi-freestone fruit with a high coverage of red blush, yellow flesh, normal acidity, rich flavor and pleasant eating quality at maturity. The fruit typically ripen about a week after ‘Flavorich’ (syn. ‘Rich May’) and a few days before ‘Carored’ in mid to late May at Byron, Ga. The tree has self-fertile showy pink flowers and is moderately vigorous and semi-spreading in growth habit. This cultivar has a winter chilling requirement of approximately 850 chill hours, crops well most years, and is suited for high chill areas.

摘要: A new and distinct cultivar of peach tree, denominated ‘May Joy’, has clingstone, melting, yellow-flesh fruit with normal acidity and pleasant eating quality. The fruit typically are round, ripen approximately 1-2 weeks before ‘Flavorich’ (syn. ‘Rich May’) and 2-3 weeks before ‘Carored’ in early to mid-May in Byron, Ga., and have a high percentage of red blush with an attractive yellow ground color. The tree is moderately vigorous and semi-spreading in growth habit, has self-fertile showy pink flowers, and regularly bears crops in absence of severe spring frost. This cultivar has a winter chilling requirement estimated at approximately 650 chill hours and is suited for medium to high chill areas.
