摘要: A head stage designed for non-surgical placement of EEG electrodes in small animals is disclosed. The head stage is connected to thin barbed pin electrodes of multiple lengths, such that they can be placed into the brain at the chosen depth. A miniature device comprising a wireless transmitter or data logger can be attached using magnets or connectors to the stage. When the head stage is placed on the head of a small animal and pressure is applied on the stage, the set of pin electrodes penetrate the skull, such that the stage becomes firmly fixed to the skull. Further, the device includes electrodes on its body that eliminate the need of wires for EEG recordings. When the capsule including sharp electrodes is pressed toward the skull, the electrodes penetrate the bone and fixes the capsule onto the skull for recording biopotential signals from the brain.

摘要: The present invention provides a novel and improved animal sprayer for use in cooling livestock and other animals in different hot or dry environments, and methods of using the same. Embodiments of the novel animal sprayers may include a valve which does not require constant electric current to remain open during a spraying session, extending system battery life. The valves may also be self-cleaning, less likely to leak, and easily adjusted to control flow rate, reducing both water use and labor costs in monitoring and repairing the animal sprayer.

摘要: An animal feeding apparatus is related, including a base and a reservoir connected to the base, the medium in the reservoir is driven into or out of the reservoir through a port of the reservoir. The base includes a first cavity communicating with the reservoir, and a second cavity adjacent to and communicating with the first cavity. A piston is movable positioned in the first cavity, and having a first force end away from the reservoir. An activator is movable positioned in the second cavity, and having a second force end away from the reservoir. An linkage member is formed between the first cavity and the second cavity, and engages with the piston and the activator and guide the piston and the activator to move in two opposite directions to get the medium to move into or out of the reservoir. An animal feeding method is also related.

摘要: An animal injection system under the control of a remote operator. The system may be used to inject animals with medications and/or RFID chips. Food bait is provided in such a manner as to require an animal to expose its chest and underside. Cameras are used to determine the orientation of the animal and its gender. Images of the animal are sent to the remote operator who determines whether or not to inject an animal. Cellphone networks may be used to transmit animal images to the remote operator and send commands from the operator to the injection system. The system may include a temperature control system to maintain medications in a pre-selected temperature range.

摘要: A system and method for automatically delivering a substance to an animal including a positioning system that positions each animal singularly, a sensor that detects the location of a predetermined targeted area on the animal and an image processor. The system further includes a delivery device having a plurality of delivery outlets for delivering a substance to the targeted area. The sensor, image processor and delivery device are in communication with a computer processor. The sensor activates the image processor which takes at least one image of the animal positioned singularly. The image is communicated to the computer processor and analyzed. The computer processor activates the delivery outlet proximate the predetermined target area on the animal which delivers an effective dosage of substance to the predetermined targeted area.

摘要: A dropper syringe apparatus includes a cylindrical barrel, a plunger assembly, and a needle. The cylindrical barrel storing the fluid includes a flanged first opening and a second opening. The plunger assembly, inserted into the cylindrical barrel, includes a plunger shaft and a flexible hollow bulb. The plunger shaft includes a flanged upper end, a lower end, and a central lumen. The plunger shaft moves in an upward and a downward direction within the cylindrical barrel. The central lumen extends from the lower to the flanged upper end of the plunger shaft for accommodating the fluid. The flexible hollow bulb is fixedly attached to the flanged upper end and in fluid communication with the central lumen. An external force exerted on the flexible hollow bulb exerts a pressure on the fluid accommodated within the lumen. The needle draws or dispenses the fluid from or to the external body.
