    Abstract: A filter comprising a filter housing, a removable housing cover closing the housing during operation, a liquid inlet, a filtered liquid outlet, an exchangeable filter cartridge separating a raw side of the filter from a clean side, and a filter bypass valve comprising a valve seat and a valve body movably guided relative to the valve seat and biased in a closed direction. The valve seat is fixed in or on the housing cover, the valve body and a spring pre-loading the valve body in the closed direction are guided in or on the housing cover and are fixed to the cover. The filter cartridge has a spring support, such that when the cartridge is installed in the filter and the housing cover is attached to the housing, the end of the spring facing away from the valve body is supported and pre-stressed via the spring support.

    Abstract: A filter cartridge includes a removable filter. The filter cartridge includes housing that connects to a manifold at one end and has a removable cover at another end. The removable cover is held onto the housing by a removable connector. When one desires to change the filter, the cartridge is disconnected from the manifold, the removable connector is removed, then the removable cover is removed, and then the removable filter is replaced. Next, the removable cover is put back on, then the connector is connected, and the cartridge is reconnected to the manifold.

    Abstract: A filter head adaptor for a compressed air filter. The filter head adaptor capable of modifying a filter head to accommodate a variety of different style filter elements.     Abstract: A filter assembly for fluid filtration having a push-activated lock and release mechanism. A push filter design activates a floating key lock upon insertion and extraction, where the filter key may be used simultaneously as a lock and as an identifier for particular filter attributes. The filter base may be situated inline, and in fluid communication, with influent and effluent piping, such as within a refrigerator. The filter housing assembly may be attached to, and removed from, the filter base by a push-actuated release. Upon insertion, the filter key shifts the filter lock longitudinally to receive interlocking segments. Upon extraction, the same axial push shifts the filter lock further to align the interlocking fingers within gaps that allow for easy extraction. The specific key lock design allows a user to identify and match certain filter configurations received by the mechanical support, and reject other filter configurations.
