Abstract:
There is provided silicone based materials with enhanced tackiness upon cure. These may be used for cured self-adhering silicone-based products such as pressure sensitive adhesives, self-adhering materials and/or self-sealing materials, made from condensation curable silicone-based compositions, the compositions therefor and to applications for which said self-adhesive products may be used. In one particular application the cured silicone based material may be utilised as a self-sealing layer in an inflatable article such as a pneumatic tire.
Abstract:
Tire assemblies are disclosed. In one embodiment a tire insert assembly includes an elastomeric tire insert constructed to be received within a tire, the tire having sidewalls and a tread portion. An upper crown surface of the tire insert and a lower surface of the tire define an outer chamber and the tire insert defines an inner chamber. The tire insert may be configured to support a substantial portion of the sidewall of the tire when the inner chamber is inflated.
Abstract:
A self-inflating inner tube with a non-elastic band that encircles the defining perimeter of the inner tube. The band limits the expansion of the inner tube within the tire-rim chamber and creates a low pressure zone along the length of the chamber where a pumping mechanism is placed. As the wheel rotates the pumping mechanism collapses between the inner tube and tire thereby pushing air along its length. The compressed air is used to inflate the inner tube and maintain proper tire pressure.

An object of the invention is to provide a tire tube which has excellent air impermeability and such excellent durability that the occurrence of cracks in the tube main body is prevented in a contact surface between the tube main body and an inner circumferential surface of the tire. The tire tube of the invention includes a tube main body having a multilayer structure in which at least one rubber layer and at least one thermoplastic resin layer made of a thermoplastic resin or a thermoplastic elastomer composition obtained by blending an elastomer in a thermoplastic resin are laminated together. In at least a region where the tube main body is in contact with the inner circumferential surface of the tire tread part, the rubber layer is placed as the outermost layer of the multilayer structure, and the thermoplastic resin layer is placed inside the outermost layer.

A vee shaped Air Bladder for hermetically sealing the pressurized air chamber of tire liners that have vee shaped air chambers. The vee shaped Air Bladder being molded with a desired vee shape portion. The vee shaped Air Bladder precluding any pressurized gas from coming between the interior surface of the tire and the tire liner.
