Abstract: A vehicular apparatus is configured to authenticate a user of a vehicle. In response to authenticating the user, a user management table, which manages an association between the user and a permitted or prohibited operation of the user for each vehicle scene, is referred to, and the permitted or prohibited operation of the user authenticated is specified to provide a specified result. Abstract: A method for activating a function of a motor vehicle by an activation device on the vehicle having at least one communication unit including at least one radiofrequency antenna and transmission and reception device. The activation coming from a user's portable device. The activation of the function is triggered by detection of the user's presence in a predetermined zone around the vehicle and on the basis of a result of authentication of the portable device by the vehicle. For at least two responses received from the portable device: a) comparing, for each response, a power of a first wave received at a time with a maximum power of the components of the first wave received, b) determining, for each response, a presence or absence of reflected waves, c) determining an averaged reflection rate for the responses, d) determining a minimum value for the time from the responses, e) if the averaged reflection rate is zero or full, then the user's presence in the predetermined area is determined using the minimum value for the time, f) if the averaged reflection rate is partial, then the user's presence in the predetermined area is detected using the minimum value for the time, to which a corrective coefficient is applied.

Abstract: An approach for the unlocking a vehicle is disclosed. The approach determines a plurality of devices of one or more users and one or more unlocking protocols associated with one or more vehicles, requests a user unlock action command by at least one of the plurality of devices. The approach receives a user unlock action complete command from at least one of the plurality of devices and validates the user unlock action complete command against the one or more unlocking protocols. Finally, after successful authentication, the approach unlocks the one or more vehicles.

Abstract: A vehicle anti-theft device that is operable to inhibit the operation of a keyless vehicle module wherein the present invention includes a first mode and a second mode. The present invention includes a second controller wherein the second controller is installed in a suitable location within a vehicle. The second controller is electrically coupled to the wiring harness of the vehicle wherein a circuit portion thereof is utilized to supply direct current power to the second controller. A key fob is provided wherein the key fob is operably coupled to the second controller. The key fob includes a first switch and a second switch wherein the first switch and second switch transition the present invention between the first mode and second mode. In the first mode of the present invention the second controller inhibits direct current flow to the first controller and as such renders the keyless vehicle module inoperable.

Abstract: A system for providing dynamic access to a vehicle via a plurality of devices. A device and/or a server of an authentication network stored fob data relating to one or more key fobs linked to the vehicle, and device data that includes data relating to one or more devices linked to the key fob that are authorized to access the vehicle. The vehicle receives an access request indicating that a new device is requesting access to the vehicle, whereupon a challenge may be transmitted to one or more of the authorized devices. The one or more devices may respond, granting access to vehicle functions. The vehicle and/or authentication network generate a secure fob key and access limitations based on the response and transmit the secure fob key to the new device. Profile templates may be used to set and control vehicle access and functions.

In one embodiment, the method comprises: transmission of a digital key to a control device of the motor vehicle, transmission of a piece of authentication information to an authentication element, capture of the piece of authentication information or of a piece of information derived from the piece of authentication information, actuation of a vehicle device to allow access to at least part of the motor vehicle interior by the control device when an authentication condition that evaluates both the piece of authentication information or the derived piece of information and the digital key is met, and actuation of the vehicle device and/or of a further vehicle device to close the motor vehicle following storage of the shipment in the motor vehicle or after a prescribed waiting time.

Abstract: A vehicle theft-prevention system can include a mobile application that can determine a location of the mobile device. One or more computing devices can be in communication with the mobile application via a network. The mobile application and the at least one computing device configured to determine that the location of the mobile device has moved outside of a geofence associated with a vehicle theft-prevention apparatus. The mobile application and the at least one computing device can cause the vehicle theft-prevention apparatus to change from an unarmed mode to an armed mode.
