Abstract:
A movable barrier operator having improved safety and energy efficiency features automatically detects line voltage frequency and uses that information to set a worklight shut-off time. The operator automatically detects the type of door (single panel or segmented) and uses that information to set a maximum speed of door travel. The operator moves the door with a linearly variable speed from start of travel to stop for smooth and quiet performance. The operator provides for full door closure by driving the door into the floor when the DOWN limit is reached and no auto-reverse condition has been detected. The operator provides for user selection of a minimum stop speed for easy starting and stopping of sticky or binding doors.
Abstract:
A transmission assembly for a powered sliding door system for an automotive vehicle. The transmission assembly includes a rotatable input member, a stationary hub, and a planetary gearset disposed within the hub and operatively cooperating with the input member. The transmission assembly also includes an electromagnetic brake disposed within the hub and operatively cooperating with the planetary gearset to lock and unlock a gear of the planetary gearset. The transmission assembly further includes a rotatable output member operatively cooperating with the planetary gearset.
Abstract:
A motor unit fitted with a buffer mechanism which absorbs the turning force of a motor when an output shaft of the motor stops due to an external load while the motor is operative and which can provide stable performance without causing biting between a worm and a worm wheel. The motor unit fitted with the buffer mechanism causes relative rotation between the output shaft and the worm wheel when the output shaft stops turning while the motor is operative. Springs and rubbers are provided in series or in parallel in a power transmission system within the worm wheel with respect to the direction of rotation of the worm wheel so as to function as buffer members by absorbing the turning force of the motor when the output shaft stops turning while the motor is operative.
Abstract:
A device for measuring torques, especially for reduction gearing for activating a functional member of a motor vehicle, of the type including an electric motor (1) with permanent magnets, the output shaft (2) of which is connected to a worm (3) associated with a wheel (4), itself connected through means forming an elastically deformable damper (5) to an output member (6) of the reduction gearing, is characterized in that it includes means (9, 10) for determining angular displacements of the wheel and of the output member, these means being connected to means (8) for determining the resistive torques applied to this output member on the basis of the relative angular displacement between the wheel and the member.
Abstract:
A driving device for a hatch in a motor vehicle includes a first fastening element which can be connected to a stationary structural component, a second fastening element which can be connected to a movable structural component, a spindle drive including a threaded spindle having an axis of rotation and a spindle nut arranged on the threaded spindle, and a rotary drive having a driveshaft for rotating spindle to move the first fastening element axially relative to the second fastening element. A stroke detection sensor for continuously detecting the position of the movable structural component includes a rotatable sensor element driven in rotation by the driveshaft and a stationary sensor element for continuously detecting the rotational position of the rotatable sensor element. A gear reduction unit is provided between the driveshaft and the rotatable sensor element so the revolutions of the sensor element are reduced by about 14:1.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a sensor unit for the position determination of a powered door having a position sensor and a transmission stage for the connection of the position sensor to the drive shaft of the door, with the sensor unit having its own housing so that it can be installed independently of the drive unit of the door.
Abstract:
A door operator includes a first component having a right-hand thread, a second component having a left-hand thread, and a plug-in or rotatable coupling having two complementary threads. The first and second compartments are interconnected to each other by the coupling when the right-hand thread of the first compartment and the left-hand thread of the second compartment engage the respective complementary threads of the coupling.
Abstract:
A drive for closure elements is provided, in particular in the area of garage and industrial doors, but also for example in the form of roller shutters, with a reference value generator arranged in the motor or in the gearing of the drive for determining the actual position of the closure element. When a reference point position is reached, the reference value generator emits a signal or causes a signal modification, on the basis of which the actual-value generator can be calibrated. The reference value generator has two reference discs rotating in different speeds, which, in predetermined angular positions to one another, define the reference point positions which can be scanned by at least one scanning device.
Abstract:
A movable barrier operator having an electrical motor responsive to control signals for moving the barrier, a controller to control the barrier movements, and two command apparatuses for generating command inputs, which command apparatuses are located remotely from each other. The first command apparatus is mounted in a location remote from the controller and easily accessible by the users, and the second command apparatus is located close proximity to the controller to be easily accessible by an installer at the time of service.
