Abstract:
An example disclosed media processing device includes an image processing unit; a first optical registration sensor; and a second optical registration sensor spaced apart from the first optical registration sensor along a first axis by a first distance associated with a gap between media units on a web.
Abstract:
A linerless label is printed and separated from a ribbon (7) of the labels by a label printer (1, 1′) having a printing unit (2, 2′), a holder (6) for the linerless label ribbon, a cutting unit (3) and a paper-feeding unit (8, 8′). The paper-feeding unit advances the linerless label ribbon through the printing unit and the cutting unit. The printing unit prints a part of the linerless label ribbon as it is advanced. The printed linerless label (9) is separated from the linerless label ribbon by the closing of at least two blades (4, 5) arranged on the sides of the linerless label ribbon. Afterward, the blades return to an open starting position for a next cutting operation. Before the blades open, the linerless label ribbon is pulled back from the blades, creating a distance (z) between the linerless label ribbon and the blades).
Abstract:
Method for producing labels (10;110;1110;2110;3110) from a base support according to a predefined standard, comprising the following steps:a) providing a base support according to the predefined standard, the base support comprising at least one non-removable region and at least one removable region having dimensions substantially corresponding to the size of the label to be printed; b) inserting the base support (100) into a printer for performing printing on base supports according to the standard indicated in step a); c) selectively printing by means of the printer alphanumeric and/or graphical labelling information on at least one removable region of the base support; d) extracting the printed base support from the printer.
Abstract:
A combination wristband and label form has a first sheet and a backing. The first sheet has a top portion with a plurality of die cut labels, and each of the labels is removable from the form. The first sheet also has a bottom portion comprising a release liner having a release material. The backing has a top portion with a release liner having a release material and a bottom portion having wristband configured to receive an indicia. The wristband is separable from the form and is formed of a single ply of water-resistant and tamper-resistant material. The wristband has a first lateral end and a second lateral end extending outwardly from a central portion, and a fraction of the central portion is a label die cut into the first sheet top portion. The first lateral end has an adhesive area and the second lateral end has perforations without adhesive.
Abstract:
A combined receipt and label roll comprises a core, and a web having a longitudinally-extending axis and wound on the core along the axis. The web includes (i) a substrate having a front side and a back side opposite the front side, (ii) a thermally-sensitive coating disposed on the front side of the substrate, and (iii) a water-based microsphere adhesive disposed on the back side of the substrate along the web axis. The water-based microsphere adhesive comprises at least four separate adhesive patches. The at least four adhesive patches are both sized relative to each other and positioned relative to each other on the back side of the substrate such that additional tack desired can be obtained by increasing volume of the adhesive patches without having to increase coat weight of the adhesive patches.
Abstract:
A multilayer laminate such as a label assembly having high opacity and desirable appearance characteristics is described. The laminate includes a facestock layer, an adhesive layer, and a liner layer. The facestock layer includes a print-receiving top coat layer that includes a combination of titanium dioxide and one or more optical brighteners. The combination of these materials avoids build up of static charges upon laser printing on the facestock.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to self-adhesive labels, label sheet assemblies, and related methods. The label sheet assembly includes a release liner assembly having a detachable portion, and a label releasably coupled to the release liner assembly and overlying the detachable portion. Weakened separation lines, a U-shaped cut, and a transverse cut define the detachable portion. The detachable portion is configured to remain coupled to the label as the label is peeled from the release liner assembly in a first direction, and the detachable portion is configured to remain part of the release liner assembly and separate from the label as the label is peeled from the release liner assembly in a second direction.
Abstract:
Continuous feed media including an attached laminating layer for printing labels and laminating them. The continuous feed media includes a substrate, an adhesive, and a lining. The substrate has a first face and a second face opposite the substrate from the first face. The first face is divided into a printing portion and a protecting portion laterally adjacent to the printing portion. The adhesive is disposed on the protecting portion and the lining is disposed on the adhesive. The adhesive is configured to selectively release the lining. The protecting portion is configured to adhere to and protect the printing portion when the lining is removed and the protecting portion is positioned to overlie the printing portion.
Abstract:
Provided is a direct thermal media containing a regular repeating pattern of color-forming thermally-imageable stripes printed parallel to the print head element line and a system for using such direct thermal media in color direct thermal printers including an optical registration system optimized for use with this media and an image processing unit that monitors the position of the stripe pattern relative to the print head and synchronizes the start of the printing process. This direct thermal media together with the optical registration system and image processing unit comprise an operative system in that the design of the thermal media, the optical registration system and image processing unit used to control printing are optimized for use with each other. This system may be utilized, for example, in color thermal printers for documents, receipts, tags, tickets or labels.
Abstract:
The present invention is an organizer with multiple functions and the ability to use tokens to represent players in a sports setting, such as a sports field. Said organizer may include a representation of the sports field on the organizer itself. Said tokens may then be affixed to the representation of the sports field in a manner that may be strong enough to be manipulated as needed, but loose enough to move when required. The organizer further allows the user to maintain various records and documents in a convenient manner to assist the users in their coaching of athletic events. This invention may be adapted for any team oriented situation as needed.
