Abstract:
In accordance with one or more aspects, criteria including both a type of communication and a user signal are received. Additionally, a response to be stored as a pre-determined response is received. Both the criteria and the response are stored. When a communication satisfying the criteria (both the type of communication and the user signal) is subsequently received, the pre-determined response is sent to the device from which the communication is received.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for detecting a stale number. A stale number detection device obtains a call number, a call number contact creation date, and a call number issue date for the call number. The stale number detection device determines that a stale number state exists when the call number issue date is later than the call number contact creation date. The stale number detection device generates a stale number notification based on the stale number state.
Abstract:
Ring backs are provided for calls. When a call is placed to a called address, a ring back may be provided to a calling address. However, the ring back may be personalized to appeal to the calling address and/or to the called address.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for logging driving information associated with a vehicle when driven are disclosed. In one aspect, a mobile telecommunications device is provided that is adapted for installation to a vehicle and configured to log driving information associated with the vehicle when driven. The mobile device is arranged to register the start of a driving period during which the mobile device is installed to the vehicle and the vehicle is being driven by a driver. The mobile device is also arranged to process sensor data during the driving period to derive driving information associated with how the vehicle is driven. The mobile device is also arranged to store a selection of the driving information to a memory.
Abstract:
A method to adjust a phone number is provided. The method may include receiving a first phone call at a telephonic device and obtaining a phone number from the first phone call. In some embodiments, the phone number may identify an origin of the first phone call. The method may further include prepending a digit to the phone number and storing the phone number with the prepended digit in a memory in the telephonic device. In some embodiments, the method may further include using the stored phone number to initiate automatic placement of the second phone call.
Abstract:
An apparatus, system, and method of managing candidate counterpart terminal information, each of which determines, in response to a request for adding a candidate counterpart terminal to a candidate list of a request sender terminal, whether attribute information stored in association with the request sender terminal matches attribute information stored in association with the candidate counterpart terminal to be added, and stores counterpart terminal identification information that identifies the candidate counterpart terminal in association with terminal identification information of the request sender terminal to update the candidate list of the specific request sender terminal when a determination result indicates that the attribute information match.
Abstract:
The invention relates to methods and devices for updating a cache memory in a telecommunications terminal suitable for co-operating with a subscriber identity module. Some implementations of the subscriber identity module may perform operations that include detecting a modification of an elementary file and generating update data associated with the modified elementary file. During a starting stage, the operations may further include receiving a start message from the terminal; receiving a request serving to identity an elementary file for processing; sending the update data associated with the elementary file for processing; and reading the elementary file in compliance with a read command from the terminal. The invention also provides corresponding methods and devices for the terminal, and the corresponding module and terminal.
Abstract:
A memory system is constituted of a file storage flash memory storing a control program required for a control portion and a large amount of data, and a random access memory storing a program used by the control portion and functioning as a buffer memory for received data. Thus, a memory system for a portable telephone capable of storing a large amount of received data at high-speed and allowing reading of the stored data at high-speed is provided.

Abstract:
Methods and systems for replaying buffered audio of a telephone call are provided herein. In some embodiments, a method for replaying buffered audio of a telephone call, comprises buffering audio data associated with a telephone call when a quality of an established data connection decreases below a first threshold quality measure; playing the buffered audio data from the buffer; determining the quality of the established data connection exceeds a second threshold quality measure; and replaying the audio data from the buffer, wherein replaying the audio comprises modifying the playback rate of the buffered audio data during playback.
