    摘要: A steel bar is made by first producing a continuously cast forgeable steel strand of generally square cross section with flat beveled corners at a temperature above a transformation temperature. This strand is then cut into billets which are passed through a succession of pairs of rollers and compressed with the rollers with a pressure sufficient to compact a core of the billets without substantially lengthening the billets.
