    摘要: A modular water-resistant paneling system and method is configured for being retrofitted into walls of existing finished basements or buildings and/or used in new construction, using components fastenable onto wall studs supporting drywall. The components include dimensionally stable water-resistant panels, and finishing strips having a backing flange and an upper lip portion sized and shaped to receive upper edge portions of the panels therein. The backing flange is fastenable to the wall studs while maintaining the panels in spaced relation therefrom, to maintain interior facing surfaces of the panels and drywall flush with one another. The upper lip portion includes opposing flanges configured for superposed engagement with adjacent portions of the interior facing surfaces of the panels and drywall. Mounting clips are sized and shaped for receiving a stud therein, and have a support flange for supporting lower edge portions of the panels.

    摘要: A lap siding product with a unique shiplap joint that spaces abutting pieces of siding correctly from each other without installer measurements. The shiplap joint comprises a bottom element and a top element. A lap siding panel or board has a bottom element shiplap joint at one end, and a top elements shiplap joint at the other end. The corresponding ends of two lap siding panels or boards (i.e., one bottom element and one top element) together form the unique shiplap joint of the present invention. One or more drainage channels or grooves help re-direct water from the joint, and at least one of the channels or grooves also provides a visual element for proper spacing. An engineered “stop” on the underside of the top element also helps space the pieces of siding correctly, without requiring measurement during installation.

The present invention also relates to other coverings, such as a wall covering, which are constructed by using a plurality of the panels. According to the invention, the panel includes a first and second coupling profile on opposing sides of the panel. The first coupling profile includes an upward tongue that has a curved portion. This upward tongue is spaced apart from a first inner flank of the panel by a clearance that defines an upward groove. According to the invention, an outermost point of the curved portion is positioned further away from the first inner flank than a center point of the upward tongue.

    摘要: A slatwall assembly and related slatwall for covering an existing wall. The slatwall assembly includes a surface profile and a reinforcing profile, at least one of the two being attachable to the existing wall. The surface profile includes a front vertical panel that is positionable with respect to the existing wall to define a gap therebetween and provide coverage thereto. The reinforcing profile is operatively coupled to the surface profile. The material of the reinforcing profile can be stronger than the material of the surface profile for reinforcement thereof when coupled together. The reinforcing profile can be operatively coupled to the surface profile so as to be held together for attachment onto the existing wall. The surface profile can be configured to cover at least a portion of the reinforcing profile, so as not to expose the reinforcing profile when an entire slatwall is assembled from the plurality of slatwall assemblies.
