Abstract:
A base paper (6), a picture pattern layer (7) provided on a surface (6a) side of the base paper (6), and foaming agents (8) arranged on a surface (7a) of the picture pattern layer (7) or in the picture pattern layer (7) are provided. In the foaming agents (8), the average particle diameter after foaming is set to 15 μm or more and 250 μm or less and the foaming start temperature is set to 100° C. or more and 220° C. or less.
Abstract:
Textile fabrics for use in air bags and side curtains having at least one coating layer of polyvinyl chloride thereon, which may be a flat sheet, such as used in driver side air bags, or a multi-layered woven textile having preconfigured air-holding cavities therein for use in side curtains such as are installed in sport utility vehicles. Coating layers of elastomeric polyurethane may be applied to the textile fabric in addition to the coating layer of polyvinyl chloride. The textile fabrics may be coated on one side only, and may be coated on both sides (on opposed first and second surfaces). The polyvinyl chloride coatings, whether alone or in combination with other polymeric coatings, provide air bags or side curtains with superior air-holding characteristics. Means for adjusting the coefficient of friction of the air bag outer surface is also disclosed as an embodiment that includes a calendered coated textile fabric.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a floor covering having an embossed polyurethane foam backing layer and methods of making and using same. A bottom surface of the backing layer can be thermo-embossed with a predetermined pattern, and the bottom surface of the backing layer can define at least one fluid pathway in communication with a side edge of the floor covering. The floor covering can also have a layer of skid-resistant material connected to the bottom surface of the backing layer.
Abstract:
Decorative heterogeneous floor covering has sound attenuation effect with an acoustic impact sound reduction of at least about 15 decibels and sustainable sip-resistance properties. The method comprising the steps of: (a) providing a print layer comprising a print decoration/design thereon; (b) providing a wear layer over the print layer to provide a print/wear layer intermediate; and (c) providing a foam backing layer on the intermediate, the backing layer being capable of providing the sound attenuation effect. Between steps (a) and (b), the method has inverting the print/wear layers intermediate before applying the backing layer to a reverse side/base thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a novel process and composition for latex-coated rugs. The novel latex composition coating contains a mixture of natural latex, synthetic latex, accelerator, gel and filler having anti-oxidant property.
Abstract:
A method for fabricating a drop cloth from a sheet of material such as canvas. The sheet of material is formed from a generally liquid impermeable material and has a front surface and a rear surface. The method includes the steps of: depressing an apertured screen onto the front surface of the sheet of material; applying a liquid onto the front surface of the sheet of material through the apertured screen, resulting in the liquid being dispersed in a plurality of spaced apart formations on the front surface of the sheet of material; separating the apertured screen from the sheet of material; and solidifying the liquid to form a plurality of spaced apart solid formations onto the sheet of material.
Abstract:
A shelf liner (10) with a natural appearance includes a skid-resistant first major surface and a decorative second major surface. The shelf liner includes a scrim (12) and a foamed resin (14), which is in contact with the scrim. The resin leaves at least a portion of the scrim exposed on the second major surface.
Abstract:
A sheet of material suitable for roofing or industrial wrapping applications has an anti-skid surface formed by ridges of twisted tapes. The sheet comprises a woven scrim of warp tapes and weft tapes. Some of the tapes are twisted about their longitudinal axis, for example about 25 to 400 revolutions per meter, to form ridges having a height substantially greater than the thickness of the tapes. The ridges impart an anti-skid surface to the sheet. The scrim is bonded to a coating or film to make the sheet waterproof.

Abstract:
A floor mat is provided having a top layer made with polyester felt capable of receiving printing by sublimation printing techniques, a bottom layer made with latex foam, and an adhesive layer between the top and bottom layers. The top layer includes a four color process printing applied thereon by sublimation of sublimation inks. The floor mat may further include a middle layer made with foam to provide extra cushioning for the floor mat.
