摘要: A method for designing a progressive addition lens and the related technology, the lens including a near portion for viewing a near distance, a distance portion for viewing a farther distance, and an intermediate portion between the near and distance portions and having a progressive refraction function, wherein transmission astigmatism is added to the near and intermediate portions out of the distance portion, the near portion, and the intermediate portion, the method including a mode selection step of determining, according to a prescription power, whether to select an AS-oriented mode wherein the amount of transmission astigmatism to be added is set so the amount of horizontal refractive power is larger than the vertical refractive power, or select a PW-oriented mode in which the amount of transmission astigmatism to be added is set so the amount of vertical refractive power is larger than the horizontal refractive power.

The method includes contacting one or more dye compositions including at least one of a dichroic dye, a photochromic-dichroic dye, or any combination thereof, with an optical element having a continuous coating including at least one alignment zone. At least a portion of the dye composition diffuses into the coating at a predetermined concentration gradient along at least a portion of the coating.

摘要: An embedded contact lens that comprises a lens body that has an anterior surface and an opposite posterior surface. The lens body is composed of a bulk hydrogel material and a circular insert embedded in the bulk hydrogel material and comprises an annular mask on the anterior surface or the posterior surface of the lens body. The circular insert comprises a peripheral edge. Both the annular mask and the insert are concentric with a central axis of the lens body. The annular mask is an opaque colored area that covers or overlaps the peripheral edge of the circular insert to minimize or eliminate optical disturbances induced by peripheral edge of the circular insert.

摘要: A helmet assembly includes a face shield and a single, center top mounting arrangement that operatively connects a center top location of the face shield to a center front mount on the helmet. The face shield can be raised and lowered about a pivot axis provided in the mounting arrangement between a tilted up, non-use position and a lowered, deployed position. The mounting arrangement can include a detent and two recesses, wherein the detent engages a first recess at a slightly forwardly displaced position to allow ventilation between the helmet and mandible and the face shield and a second recess at the tilted up, non-use position. The recess and detent engagement can be overcome by easy manual force acting on the face shield to reposition the face shield.

摘要: An optical zone forms a base surface of a spectacle lens and has a refractive power per a prescription. A functional zone surrounds a central optical zone of the spectacle lens and includes a plurality of functional sub-elements fitting with one another. Each of the functional sub-elements includes a first lens located in a central position and a plurality of second lenses around the first lens. Each of the second lenses has a surface shape of a regular polygon. The second lenses are in surface contact with one another via a surface where sides of the regular polygons are located. Wavefronts formed by the functional sub-elements can be superimposed on a working focal plane of the optical zone to form a uniform diffusion circle that can form a blurred peripheral vision image. The spectacle lens can perform deep modulation for the imaging quality of the image plane on the retina.

摘要: A system and method of predicting fit of a wearable device from image data obtained by a computing device together with position and orientation of the computing device is provided. The system and method may include capturing a series of frames of image data, and detecting one or more fixed features in the series of frames of image data. Position and orientation data associated with the capture of the image data is combined with the position data related to the one or more fixed features, to extract depth data from the series of frames of image data. A three-dimensional model is generated based on the extracted depth data. The three-dimensional model and/or key points extracted therefrom, can be processed by a simulator and/or a machine learning model to predict fit of the wearable device for the user.
