摘要: A method for designing a progressive addition lens and the related technology, the lens including a near portion for viewing a near distance, a distance portion for viewing a farther distance, and an intermediate portion between the near and distance portions and having a progressive refraction function, wherein transmission astigmatism is added to the near and intermediate portions out of the distance portion, the near portion, and the intermediate portion, the method including a mode selection step of determining, according to a prescription power, whether to select an AS-oriented mode wherein the amount of transmission astigmatism to be added is set so the amount of horizontal refractive power is larger than the vertical refractive power, or select a PW-oriented mode in which the amount of transmission astigmatism to be added is set so the amount of vertical refractive power is larger than the horizontal refractive power.

摘要: A lens element adapted to a wearer and intended to be worn in front of an eye of the wearer, the lens element comprising:—a refraction area having a refractive power based on a prescribed refractive power Px for 5 said eye of the wearer and comprising at least a central zone,—a plurality of optical elements having an optical function of not focusing an image on the retina of the eye of the wearer, wherein the optical elements are organized based at least on the prescribed refractive power Px and the functional asymmetries over the visual field of the wearer.

摘要: A progressive ophthalmic lens adapted to a wearer in given wearing conditions having an addition and fulfilling an acuity performance criterion determined by: defining a set of at least three different vision distances including at least a first vision distance greater than or equal to 4 m, a second vision distance greater than or equal to 0.6 m and smaller than or equal to 2 m and a third vision distance smaller than or equal to 0.5 m, each vision distance being associated with an acuity loss threshold value and an acuity area threshold value, providing an acuity model defining acuity loss as a function of lens power and resulting astigmatism, determining of each vision distance using the acuity model the area of gaze directions for which the acuity loss is below the associated acuity loss threshold value.

摘要: An optical zone forms a base surface of a spectacle lens and has a refractive power per a prescription. A functional zone surrounds a central optical zone of the spectacle lens and includes a plurality of functional sub-elements fitting with one another. Each of the functional sub-elements includes a first lens located in a central position and a plurality of second lenses around the first lens. Each of the second lenses has a surface shape of a regular polygon. The second lenses are in surface contact with one another via a surface where sides of the regular polygons are located. Wavefronts formed by the functional sub-elements can be superimposed on a working focal plane of the optical zone to form a uniform diffusion circle that can form a blurred peripheral vision image. The spectacle lens can perform deep modulation for the imaging quality of the image plane on the retina.

摘要: A head-mounted display may include a display system and an optical system that are supported by a housing. The optical system may be a catadioptric optical system having a removable lens element and a non-removable lens element. The optical system may include a quarter wave plate that is coated to the non-removable lens element without an intervening adhesive layer. The optical system may further include a reflective polarizer and a linear polarizer. The removable lens element may be selectively attached to the optical system. The removable lens element may be separated from a non-removable lens element by an air gap when the removable lens element is attached to the optical system. The removable lens element may have a convex curved surface that conforms to a concave curved surface of the non-removable lens element.

摘要: Provided is an eyeglass lens configured to cause rays that have entered from an object-side surface to be emitted from an eyeball-side surface and cause the emitted rays to converge at a predetermined position A. The eyeglass lens includes a lens base material having a plurality of base material convex portions on at least one of the object-side surface and the eyeball-side surface, and the eyeglass lens has a configuration for suppressing stray light rays that do not pass through the vicinity of the predetermined position A or the vicinity of the position B that is closer to the object than the predetermined position A is.
