Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured to communicate with a further UE via a sidelink (SL). The UE encodes traffic for transmission to the further UE, wherein the traffic comprises a payload and a medium access control (MAC) subheader, wherein the MAC subheader indicates whether the payload corresponds to non-routed traffic between the UE and the further UE or routed traffic between either one of the UE or the further UE and a base station, wherein an other one of the UE or the further UE functions as a relay for the routed traffic and transmits the traffic.

Abstract: A network component communicating with a user equipment (UE) and a server. The network component receives a first packet from the UE, wherein the first packet indicates to the network component that the network component is to perform operations on behalf of the UE to maintain a persistent connection, receives a second packet from the server and determines whether to transmit a signal to the UE based on the second packet received from the server. The UE is configured to establish an ENDC connection with an enB and one or more gNBs. The UE implements intelligent transmission modification and cell measurement adjustments to mitigate overheating and reduce battery drain.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to perform methods to implement mechanisms for non-stand-alone unlicensed band cells that support single carrier capable UEs. A UE may camp on a licensed band cell of a RAN and transmit a request to connect. The UE may receive, from the licensed band cell, a connection setup message indicating a switch to an unlicensed band cell of the RAN and receive, from the unlicensed band cell, a reference signal. The UE may transmit to the unlicensed band cell and in response to confirming, based at least in part of the reference signal, radio quality and/or downlink timing of the unlicensed band cell, a connection complete/connection resume message.

Abstract: Peer devices may wirelessly communicate with each other over a bidirectional sidelink logical channel (LCH) through an established bidirectional sidelink radio bearer. An initiating device of the peer devices may dynamically select a logical channel ID for establishing a fully bidirectional or semi-bidirectional SLRB. At least two alternative sidelink radio resource control (PC5-RRC) procedures may ensure the SLRB parameters are configured correctly in the established logical channel. The procedures also allow the network to configure a limited SLRB which is used to couple the SLRB configuration in the direction in which limited traffic (e.g. feedback information such as robust header compression feedback and/or status reports) is transmitted.

Abstract: A connected car and an onboard user equipment (UE) may establish independent cellular connections and may also establish a connection between each other. The UE establishes a first cellular link between the UE and a first network, establishes a connection with a connected car, wherein the connected car has a second cellular link between the connected car and a second network, evaluates one or more conditions and declares one of the first cellular link or the connection with the connected car a primary network interface for the UE based on, at least, the one or more conditions.
