Embodiments of the present invention provide a control information sending method, receiving method, and device. The control information sending method includes: determining a first subframe of a first radio frame on a first carrier, where the first subframe includes a control region; sending control information in the control region of the first subframe of the first radio frame to a user equipment, where the control information includes a PDCCH; and sending an ePDCCH in a second subframe of the first radio frame to the user equipment. According to the embodiments of the present invention, when control information borne on an ePDCCH cannot be sent in a first radio frame, a PDCCH can still be sent to a user equipment through a control region in a first subframe, thereby achieving purposes of performing uplink/downlink scheduling for the user equipment and downlink feedback for uplink data of the user equipment.

The method includes sending, by a radio access network system, information about a subframe mode corresponding to at least one beam, where the information about the subframe mode instructs a UE to perform measurement according to the information about the subframe mode, and the method further includes receiving, by the radio access network system, a measurement result sent by the UE. The measurement apparatus and method can be used to perform the measurement in a millimeter wave scenario.

The method includes determining a type of a first subframe, where the type of the first subframe is a first-type subframe, a second-type subframe, a third-type subframe, or a fourth-type subframe, where the second-type subframe includes an uplink control channel and a downlink channel, the uplink control channel is located after the downlink channel, and there is a guard period between the uplink control channel and the downlink channel. The fourth-type subframe includes an uplink channel and a downlink control channel, the uplink channel is located after the downlink control channel, and there is a guard period between the uplink channel and the downlink control channel. The method also includes transmitting data in the first subframe according to the type of the first subframe.

According to a resource configuration method, user equipment, and a base station that are provided in embodiments of the present invention and relate to the communications field, reference signals used for measurement and overheads of corresponding measurement and feedback are reduced. A specific solution is as follows: A base station sends M reference signals to UE in N time units in a time unit set, where the reference signal is used by the UE to perform channel quality measurement, and each reference signal in the M reference signals is corresponding to one piece of precoding matrix information; receives channel quality indication information sent by the UE.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for feeding back channel state information, a user equipment, and a base station, to improve feedback precision of channel state information. The method includes: receiving a reference signal sent by a base station; selecting a precoding matrix W from a codebook according to the reference signal, where a column vector of the precoding matrix W may be expressed as α[v ejφv]T, v=[1 ejθ]; and sending a precoding matrix indicator PMI to the base station, where the PMI is corresponding to the selected precoding matrix W. The present invention may further improve quantization precision and achieve balance between overheads and the quantization precision. The base station performs precoding on a sent signal according to a fed back precoding matrix indicator, which can improve precoding precision, thereby improving a data transmission rate and system throughput.

A method and an apparatus determine a precoding matrix indicator user equipment and a base station. The method includes: determining a precoding matrix indicator PMI where the PMI corresponds to a precoding matrix W, and the precoding matrix W satisfies a first condition, a second condition or a third condition; and sending the PMI to a base station. Embodiments of the present invention further provide a corresponding apparatus, and the corresponding user equipment and base station. Technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present invention can effectively control a beam, especially a beam shape and a beam orientation, in a horizontal direction and a perpendicular direction.

A method, a codebook, and a Base Station (BS) for precoding are provided. The precoding method includes: obtaining a total uplink power of a User Equipment (UE); if the total uplink power is greater than ¾ of a rated total transmit power of antennas, selecting a codeword from a first codebook with imbalanced power between layers; otherwise, selecting a codeword from the first codebook and a second codebook with balanced power between layers, so as for precoding data to be transmitted according to the selected codeword.
