Abstract:
A digital imaging device that utilizes a disk drive and a magnetic storage medium for transferring digital images. The device enables the user to transfer digital images from a flash card to a removable magnetic storage medium having high capacity. The device can also be used to view, edit or organize the digital images on a television, computer monitor or the like.
Abstract:
When a device is erroneously taken out during the recording, there is a possibility such that a fatal data breakage is caused in the device. Information for device control is read out from the device. When it is detected that a cover which covers the device is opened or that a power voltage is equal to or less than a predetermined value during the operation with a battery, a whole control unit invalidates the read-out information for the device control. Therefore, processes at the time of errors can be simplified. Further, when the device is erroneously taken out during the recording or when a battery output drops during the recording, a fatal data breakage is not caused in the device.
Abstract:
Openings (OPa, OPb) corresponding to respective card slots (18a, 18b) are formed in a side face of a digital camera, and a slot cover (121) having a size covering both of the openings (OPa, OPb) is placed in a manner so as to shift thereon, thereby allowing either of the openings of the card slots to be selectively exposed. A CPU, installed therein, is allowed to access a card-type medium attached to the card slot that is not exposed, and is not allowed to access a card-type medium attached to the card slot that is exposed. A card-type medium can be detachably attached to the card slot that is exposed, and with respect to the card slot that is not exposed, the attaching and removing operations of a card-type medium are restricted.
Abstract:
The CPU 17 accesses multiple slots 41a and 41b in a digital camera 1 at regular intervals to detect whether or not memory cards 40a and 40b are mounted in the slots 41a and 41b, respectively. Based on whether or not memory cards 40a and 40b are mounted in the slots 41a and 41b, respectively, the CPU 17 selects one slot as the slot to be accessed. There are three modes available as the mode from which to perform this selection, i.e., a fixed mode, a priority mode and a manual operation mode.
Abstract:
An information signal processing apparatus according to the present invention is an apparatus for processing an information signal. The apparatus is arranged to temporarily store information data inputted thereinto and move, after a predetermined amount of information data is stored, a moving element of a recording medium into which the information data is to be recorded, so that it is possible to stably execute continuous recording of the information signal by means of a simple arrangement with a small power consumption.
Abstract:
An electronic still-video camera is provided capable of preserving image data having a quantity which is greater than the storage capacity of a memory cartridge (memory card) loaded in the camera. Besides being capable of receiving an external memory in a memory cartridge loaded in the camera, the camera incorporates an internal memory. Image data obtained as a result of photography is stored in either the internal memory or the external memory, depending upon which memory has been selected by a memory selection switch.
Abstract:
In an electronic imaging apparatus, image information of an image signal photoelectrically converted from an image incident is stored in image information storing means in a format dependent upon a type of the applied storage device. Provided therein are communication means for transmitting and/or receiving image information generated in this apparatus or the other equivalent apparatuses while an operation mode of the apparatus is set for communication and switch means for causing the communication means to start a communication mode operation.
Abstract:
An electronic camera including an image pickup element, a solid state memory of relatively small capacity for storing at least one frame of a video signal produced by the image pickup element and a non-solid state memory of relatively large capacity for storing the video signal stored in the solid state memory, wherein these memories each are made releasably attached to the image pickup element.
