Abstract:
A light intercepting apparatus provided between a lens barrel which moves in an optical axis direction and a lens holding member which supports the lens barrel so as to slide in the optical axis direction, includes a pair of light intercepting rings which are provided on the lens holding member. Each of the light intercepting rings is made of a flexible material and has a center opening having a diameter that is smaller than an outer diameter of the lens barrel. The inner ends of the light intercepting rings which define the center openings are deformed in opposite directions and brought into contact with an outer peripheral surface of the lens barrel.

Abstract:
A lens barrel includes a control unit which has an operation pin which is moved in the circumferential direction by an angular displacement corresponding to an object distance signal generated by an object distance measuring device. A lens frame carries a focusing lens group and is screw-engaged by the control unit to be engaged by the operation pin so as to move together therewith in the circumferential direction. An annular member moves substantially together with the control unit in the optical axis direction and is located in front of the lens frame of the focusing lens group. The light intercepting device includes a first light intercepting cylindrical portion which is provided on the annular member to extend to the outer periphery of the focusing lens group, or the vicinity thereof, and a second light intercepting cylindrical portion which is provided on the lens frame of the focusing lens group to always at least partially overlap the first light intercepting cylindrical portion in the optical axis direction.
Abstract:
A highly integrated semiconductor memory, particularly, a low noise dynamic memory. As the density of integration of the dynamic memory increases, the distance between data lines decreases and a new type of noise, which has hitherto been thought little of, displays itself. To cope with this problem in the semiconductor memory comprising a plurality of pairs of data lines arranged in substantially parallel relationship with each other, respective pairs having substantially the same electric characteristics, connection means provided in association with the respective data line pairs, a plurality of word lines laid to extend perpendicularly to the data line pairs, at least one memory cell connected to at least one of intersections of the word lines with data lines of the pairs, and a plurality of sense amplifier means respectively connected to the data line pairs to differentially detect signal voltages appearing on each data line pair, the plural data line pairs have an alternate arrangement of a pair of data lines transposed at an even number of places and a pair of data lines transposed at an odd number of places, and the sense amplifier means is operative to change voltage on one of the data lines of a pair to a high-level voltage and voltage on the other of the data lines of the pair of a low-level voltage.
Abstract:
A pattern defect detecting system for an integrated semiconductor circuit or the like, utilizing the phenomenon that in the case of a test pattern having regularity, the intensity of diffracted light appearing on a back-focal plane of a lens is high, while defects or foreign matters not having regularity are low in the intensity of diffracted light. As a concrete example, an optical space modulator is used to record only an intense light portion in real time. The recorded diffraction pattern can be erased easily by, for example, application of voltage and radiation of light. A spatial filter can be prepared in real time in 1:1 correspondence to a test sample. Besides, even in the case of change of test pattern, an immediate action can be taken for continuous detection of defects, thus permitting test on-line.

A water-absorbent resin having an appropriate particle size and a narrow particle size distribution can be obtained by adding a powdered inorganic material in a proportion of 0.000005-0.2 part by weight to 1 part by weight of a water-absorbent resin containing therein a carboxylate as a component of the polymer with agitation in an inert solvent in the presence of 0.1-5.0 parts by weight of water and 0.005-0.2 part by weight of a surfactant and then removing water and the inert solvent by distillation.
Abstract:
In an automotive infinite transmission, a rotation of an input pulley is transmitted to an output pulley through a belt in such a manner that a transmission ratio is continuously variable. Each of the input and output pulleys has a fixed pulley member fixedly mounted on a rotary shaft and a movable pulley member mounted on the rotary shaft for axial movement toward and away from the fixed pulley member. A tapered pulley surface of the fixed pulley member cooperates with a tapered pulley surface of the movable pulley member to define therebetween an annular groove having a generally V-shaped cross-section. A plurality of drive blocks are arranged between the pulley surfaces of the respective fixed and movable pulley members and circumferentially along the annular groove with the drive blocks being in sliding contact with the pulley surfaces. Provision is made between the drive blocks and the pulley surfaces in sliding contact therewith for reducing frictional forces. When the movable pulley member is moved axially relative to the fixed pulley member, the drive blocks are moved along generally radially extending slits formed in the tapered pulley surfaces of the respective movable and fixed pulley members. The drive blocks are biased radially inwardly against a centrifugal force due to the rotation of the movable and fixed pulley members.
