Abstract:
In a signal processing apparatus, an analog signal inputted from, for example, a sensor is amplified by a amplifying circuit and is supplied to N comparing circuits (N is an integer equal to or more than 2). Each of the N comparing circuits is associated with a reference voltage and generates a comparison resultant signal based on the reference voltage in response to the amplified analog signal. N pulse generating circuits are provided for the N comparing circuits, respectively, and each of the N pulse generating circuits generates first and second pulse signals which indicate level transitions of the comparison resultant signal with respect to the corresponding reference voltage. A digital signal generating circuit composed of a flip-flop circuit generates a digital signal in response to the first and second pulse signals from each of the N pulse generating circuits.
Abstract:
A diagnostic system is arranged to detect a malfunction in a pressure switch for sensing a negative pressure in a passage between an actuator and a selector valve for alternately introducing a negative pressure such as an intake manifold vacuum and an atmospheric pressure to the actuator to control the actuator. The diagnostic system has a section for carrying out a diagnostic operation on the pressure switch during engine operation, and a section for carrying out a similar diagnostic operation to check the pressure switch after a stop of the engine while holding a power supply for the diagnosis.
Abstract:
A process for preparing branched chain fatty acids or alkyl esters thereof comprising at least a step wherein unsaturated fatty acids having 10 to 25 carbon atoms, alkyl esters thereof or mixtures thereof are subjected to skeletal isomerization reaction in the presence of water or a lower alcohol at a temperature of 150.degree. to 350.degree. C. using a zeolite as a catalyst, the zeolite having a linear pore structure of pore size that is small enough to retard dimerization and large enough to allow diffusion of the branched chain fatty acids or alkyl esters thereof.
Abstract:
A coin selecting apparatus includes a damper ball arranged beside a coin passage to contact inserted coins and a ball guide for smoothly guiding the damper ball, in order to adjust inserting speed of the inserted coins in association with movements of the damper ball. The damper ball travels from a first position to a second position of the ball guide upon impact of the inserted coin to absorb kinetic energy of the coin, thereby regulating the speed of the coin. The damper ball then returns to the first position as rolling and contacting with walls of the guide, thereby changing the location of the impact point on the damper ball so as to prevent the ball from being worn or impaired. Where the first position is placed at a lower position than the second position, the damper ball can return by itself in aid of force of gravity. A pushing member, if provided, may enhance applicability of the coin selecting apparatus since the ball guide could be designed less restrictedly.
Abstract:
A drive motor comprises a motor body (5) for rotating a motor shaft (11) in a predetermined forward direction; a brake engagement surface (30) formed at a projection (14) which is projected from a part of the motor shaft; claw piece (15) which engages with the projection at a predetermined position on interruption of electricity for the motor body and acts to stop rotation of the motor shaft, wherein the claw piece comprises an engagement claw (60) of actue angle shape; and a wedge engagement release mechanism (31) for releasing the wedged engagement by rotating the motor shaft in a release direction which is equal to the reversed direction.
Abstract:
A tertiary aminoalcohol having a tert-amino group(s) in the main chain and hydroxyl groups at the terminals. The use of this compound for purposes different from that of ordinary amines and amine derivatives is expected.A process for producing the tertiary aminoalcohol wherein a catalyst comprising copper, a transition metal element of the fourth period and a platinum group element of the group VIII, and further optionally containing an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal is used.A process for producing polyurethane using the above-mentioned tertiary aminoalcohol which can solve the problems occurring in the production of a polyurethane using a tertiary amine which has a strong irritating odor and is highly irritant to the skin as a catalyst, for example, deteriorations of working atmosphere and sales appeal of the polyurethane. The chemical structure of the above-described tertiary aminoalcohol is as follows: ##STR1##
Abstract:
A coin feeding device is provided comprising a base plate adapted for mounting predetermined coins on one end thereof, including a scraper for scraping the coins towards the other or opposite end of the base plate along a predetermined coin feeding path. The scraper comprises a main rotating body rotatably mounted on the base plate and includes a coin feeding wing unit or finger assembly extending radially outwardly from the main rotating body. The coin feeding wing unit or finger assembly is used for feeding the coins to the other or opposite end of the base plate while traveling along the coin feeding path by virtue of the rotation of the main rotating body. The coin-feeding device includes a movable engagement piece biased to force one of the coins against the main rotating body along the coin feeding path.
Abstract:
A connector device is provided which can be made small and thin in a form as close to the external width dimension of an information processing medium per se as possible. A frame member for guiding an IC pack and connector section to be connected to the IC pack are mounted on a housing plate member. An ejection mechanism for the IC pack is incorporated on the housing plate member. The ejection mechanism is equipped with guide portion so as to operate the ejection mechanism. An operation unit is arranged in a width direction of the housing plate member so as to be slidable in a direction intersecting with that in which the IC pack is inserted and withdrawn. A stopper is provided in the width range of the housing plate member 2 such that it can prevent a movement of the slide plate member in the withdrawing direction and allows a movement of the operation unit in the withdrawing direction when the operation unit is released.
Abstract:
Processes for producing a polyurethane, a rigid polyurethane foam, a flexible polyurethane foam and a spray type rigid polyurethane foam are disclosed. In these processes, a specified tertiary aminoalcohol is used as a polyol component and a catalyst.
Abstract:
An improvement of a coin dispensing apparatus, in particular of an agitator mounted on a central circular stage of a coin transferring rotary disc rotatably disposed in a hopper containing a plurality of coins to be dispensed. The agitator is composed of an agitating member having a plurality of agitating arms extending outwards from the central portion thereof and a resiliently deformable sheet having a thickness thinner than that of the coin, which are secured at their central portions to the central circular stage of the rotary disc such that the agitating elements rotate together with the rotary disc.
