Abstract: The present invention relates to a method 300 for facilitating simulation of a shot from a weapon, wherein the weapon is equipped with a laser device which works on the time-of-flight principle. The method comprises the step 310 of receiving an emitted coded laser pulse sequence from the weapon by a simulation device. The method further comprises the step 350 of transferring a returned coded pulse sequence which corresponds to the emitted coded laser pulse sequence back to the weapon by the simulation device. The simulation device is a range simulation device. The method further comprises the step of delaying 330 said transferring in relation to said receiving so that said delay is perceived by said weapon as a longer travel time of the emitted coded laser pulse sequence and the returned coded pulse sequence, respectively. The method further relates to a simulation device.

Abstract: An antenna system for providing identification functionality comprising a main antenna and an auxiliary antenna, wherein the antennas are configured to at least transmit electromagnetic waves. The antenna system comprises a first channel interface and a second channel interface, a first switch and a transmission input means. The first switch is configured to switch between a first operation mode and a second operation mode. When set in the first operation mode the second channel interface is set to be in connection with the auxiliary antenna and when set in the second operation mode the second channel interface is set to be in connection with the main antenna. If transmission via the first transmission channel is expected the transmission input means is configured to set the first switch in the first operation mode. Thereby the main antenna can be used for transmission of signals both provided via the first and second channel interfaces and when transmission via the first and second channel interfaces simultaneously is required the signal provided via the first channel interface will be transmitted by the main antenna and the signal provided via the second channel interface will be transmitted by the auxiliary antenna.

Abstract: A dispenser for storing and launching countermeasures from an aircraft, comprising an elongate body provided with at least one launch opening adapted for storing the countermeasures in cartridges, where the dispenser comprises a pivot able cover arranged in the launch opening, where the cover, in a closed state, is adapted to close the launch opening such that the cartridges are covered. The cover is adapted to open when a force from a fired countermeasure is acting on a mounting plate. The advantage of the invention is that a cover covering the countermeasure scan be opened in a fully mechanical way, by the use of the reactional force of the countermeasure. This allows for a simple, reliable and cost-effective solution.

Abstract: A method and system for obtaining SAR images with reduced or eliminated surface clutter to detect subsurface targets, the method comprising the following steps:—selecting a first frequency and an incidence angle for the radar signal such that the ratio of surface backscattering to subsurface target backscattering is significantly larger for vertical polarization than for horizontal—obtaining vertically and horizontally polarized SAR images based on the same SAR path exploiting the selected first frequency and viewing angle—weighting and differencing the vertically and horizontally polarized SAR images so that the surface backscattering completely cancels between the two images and only the combination of the target backscattering components remains.

Abstract: A switching mode DC/DC power converter for delivering a direct current to a pulse radar unit. A first switching element connects and disconnects the power converter from a power source in each cycle of the power converter. An inductor charges and discharges in each cycle. A capacitor maintains a DC output voltage as the inductor charges and discharges in each cycle. A second switching element transfers energy from the inductor to the capacitor when the first switch disconnects the switching mode power converter from the power source. A control loop regulates the voltage with a time constant, to a predetermined value by controlling the first switching element. An on time for the first switching element in each cycle is chosen to allow the current through the inductor to fall to zero in each cycle. The cycle is shorter than RF pulse duration and time constant of the control loop is longer than the RF pulses.
