Abstract:
A fluid filtering assembly has a manifold connectable to a line carrying fluid and a filter cartridge releasably connected to the manifold. The manifold has a pair of pockets that accommodate fluid inlet and outlet tubular members on the filter cartridge. Seals associated with the pockets and tubular members retain the fluid to the manifold and filter cartridge. A releasable connector holds cartridge in assembled relation with the manifold.
Abstract:
A filter for a fluid under pressure comprising a container including a filter vessel (1) and cover (2) for clamping against the filter vessel. A support basket (12) adapted to be inserted into the filter vessel includes a flange (11) having an inwardly and upwardly open profile (15, 16). A filter sealing element (18) of an annular filter bag carrier (17) may be inserted into the open profile (15). In order to obtain a complete sealing effect, particularly against the passage of the unfiltered fluid into the filtered fluid in the filter, an upwardly and outwardly open groove (19) is provided in the profiled filter sealing element (18), which groove receives an inner O ring (20).
Abstract:
A container and cap assembly comprising a receiving container and a cap for engagement therewith. Engagement means is provided for quick assembly or disassembly of the cap from the container which comprises at least two recesses in the cylindrical outer wall of the lower end of the cap for receiving corresponding locking pins on the cylindrical wall of the container. The recesses each comprise a first receiving portion and a locking portion. The locking pins each have a substantially elongated outer configuration with respect to longitudinal axis of the container.
Abstract:
A filter assembly and associated collection bowl for a dual contaminant collection zone arrangement use a self-sealing o-ring in combination with a threaded mating arrangement in order to withstand high pressure differentials. The filter assembly includes an end cap having a plurality of downwardly projecting ribs distinct from a threaded connector ring upon which the end cap rests. The end cap includes a number of contaminant channels between adjacent pairs of the ribs, the contaminant channels leading to corresponding contaminant outlets.
Abstract:
A filter assembly is provided for filtering pharmaceutical fluid materials without danger of contaminating downstream effluent in the event of leakage of unfiltered fluid material past a filter seal, comprising, in combination, a filter housing comprising first and second housing parts; the first housing part having a first fluid chamber open at one side, a fluid port opening into the fluid chamber, and a peripheral sealing lip; the second housing part having a second fluid chamber open at one side, a fluid port opening into the fluid chamber and a peripheral sealing lip; sealing means between the peripheral lips; retaining means holding the housing parts and sealing means in fluid-tight juxtaposition; a filter element disposed in the second fluid chamber in the second housing part and comprising a tubular filter confined between and sealed in a fluid-tight seal to end caps at each end thereof, of which a first end cap is closed, and a second end cap has an opening therethrough communicating the interior of the tubular filter with the first fluid chamber, and a peripheral lip extending into sealing engagement with the sealing means and shaped to fit between and seal against one peripheral sealing lip of one housing part, the peripheral lip extending across and sealingly closing off the open sides of the first and second fluid chambers, so that fluid communication therebetween is restricted to the opening in the second end cap via the filter, and the leakage path at the end cap peripheral lip seal past the sealing means does not bypass the filter, but runs to the exterior of the housing between the housing parts.
Abstract:
A filter unit includes a rigid generally cup-shaped housing providing a cylindrical chamber within which is coaxially mounted a plural layer coarse woven wire mesh generally cylindrical filter retainer intervening between a cylindrical filter screen and one or more outlets. The retainer and filter screen cylinders are seated at one end in the bottom of the filter housing chamber, and a closure on the opposite end of the housing includes a retaining plug which wedges into the adjacent ends of the retainer and filter screen cylinders and retains the screen against displacement. A simple and efficient seal between the closure plug and a screw-on cap prevents leakage from the unit, but permits a slight stuck-thread-releasing rocking of the cap relative to the housing, to facilitate unscrewing the cap.
Abstract:
A filter element is disclosed having an annular filter medium surrounding an open interior, and an end plate secured on an axial end face of the filter medium, the end plate having radially extending crossflow channels formed in the interior of the end plate with flow controlled by a bypass valve. A filter housing is also disclosed cooperating with the filter element to provide a fluid drainage arrangement.
Abstract:
A filter device with a filter housing (2, 6), in which a replaceable filter element (4) is accommodated and which has a cover part (2). Element material (30) is delimited at the end by at least one end cap (32). This end cap (32) of the filter element (4) is placed on a fluid channel (58). A device (84) for transverse force support for the filter element (4) is provided between this one end cap (32) and the fluid channel (58). The device (84) for transverse force support supports the filter element (4) in relation to the fluid channel (58) engaging in the interior of the filter element (4) at least partially at the end.
Abstract:
A filter includes an end cap having a top surface, and a circumferential collar extending from the top surface, the circumferential collar having a radial surface that engages radially with one or more fingers that extend from an inner surface of a filter housing cover, a filter base, a filter element positioned between the end cap and the filter base, and a pin extending below the filter base.
