Abstract:
A guiding system for a sliding door, especially a motor vehicle, comprising a sliding rail (5) with an upper cover (6) and a lower edge (7) arranged opposite the upper cover (6), and a roller element (101) which is guided in the sliding rail (5) and comprises a roller element housing (102) is presented. Three rollers (103, 104) are rotatably fixed to the roller element housing (102), two rollers (103) extending along the upper cover (6) of the sliding rail (5) and the third roller (104) extending along the lower edge (7). The invention creates one such guiding system in such a way that there is no play, it operates quietly, and has a taut system characteristic. To this end, a spring element (109) is fixed to the roller element housing (102), said spring element pressing on of the first two roller (103) and the third roller (104) against the sliding rail (5).
Abstract:
An improved vehicle door hinge allows a door to swing open in a horizontal plane in order to clear the vehicle frame, this rotation is accomplished by a hinge. A curved rail mounted on the door then allows the hinge portion to move upward, the curvature of the rail allowing a small amount of motion of the rail to cause a twist of the door as it moves, and the twist causes the door to move clear of the doorway of the vehicle frame. The rail comprises roller races on each edge, the rail races have running on them a set of four rollers, two rollers on each edge of the rail. The hinge is located on one end of the rail.
Abstract:
A method of feeding an animal in a feeding box. The method comprises at least the following steps, the steps a-c not necessarily taking place in the given sequence: a) identifying the animal in the feeding box, b) closing the feeding box, in such a way that access to the feeding box is impeded for an animal outside the feeding box, c) supplying feed to the animal in the feeding box in a chosen eating period of time. An installation for feeding an animal, which installation is provided with a frame that encloses at any rate at least partially a frame area. A neutral position means for positioning a passage means into one particular neutral position.
Abstract:
A sliding door assembly for enclosing a space, such as a shower or a bath, includes an overhead track and a sliding door moveably interacting with the overhead track. The sliding door includes a panel and a support apparatus for supporting the panel. The support apparatus includes a rail extending generally vertically and connected to the panel, a bracket extending upwardly from and partially adjacent to the rail for moveably interacting with the overhead track, and a boss extending from the rail and engaging the bracket. The bracket defines a notch and the boss extends from the rail into the notch and vertically engages the bracket in the notch for vertically supporting the rail on the bracket. The boss and the bracket establish a fastener-free support to support the weight of the panel and the rail.
Abstract:
A roller assembly for a rolling door or similar device. The roller comprises a polymer and it has first and second sides, a rolling surface, and an axis around which the roller rolls. The roller also has an interior bore and a shaft rotatably coupled to the roller. One or more ferrules are received within one or both sides of the roller. The ferrules support and align the roller for rotation upon the shaft.
Abstract:
A hinge for wings or doors, in particular of electrical appliances, having a first element, a second element and a rocker lever for connecting the first and second elements; the lever pivots on the second element and has a first arm integral with the first element to render the first and second elements movable relative to one another with a tilting action between a closed position and an open position; the second element consisting of a substantially box-shaped body containing both elastic parts, inserted between the second element and a second arm of the lever to apply an elastic action on the lever, and a damping device, for applying a damping action on the lever during the reciprocal motion of the first and second elements, when the closed position is almost reached.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a damping device for parts of furniture which are joined together by means of hinges and which can be pivoted in relation to each other. The housing contains a damping fluid in the cavity thereof and a resistance element which can be displaced relative to the dumping fluid and connected to an actuating element protruding from the housing. During at least one part of the pivoting movement of both pieces of furniture, said actuating element is drivingly connected to the second piece of furniture and transfers the movement distributed to the second piece of furniture to the resistance element. The damping device is arranged in the region of at least one of the hinges which pivotally couples both pieces of furniture, and whereby either the damping housing and/or the actuating element engages with one of the mounting element of the corresponding hinges, at least during the damping process.
Abstract:
A folding chair for a cupboard, whereby the folding cover (8) can be displaced between an opened position and a closed position. The folding cover includes a first cover element (9) which can be fastened to a cupboard cover (2) in a manner that permits it to pivot around a horizontally arranged first axis (10); a second cover element (11) which is joined to the first cover element (9) in a manner that permits it to pivot around a horizontally arranged second axis (12); and a cover positioner (14) with a positioning arm (13), which can be fastened to a side wall (3) in a manner that permits it to pivot around a horizontally arranged third axis (15) and which is joined to the second cover element (11) in a manner that permits it to pivot around a horizontally arranged fourth axis (16), whereby the distance between the first axis (10) and the second axis (12) is greater than the distance between the second axis (12) and the fourth axis (16) and is greater than the distance between the second axis (12) and a lower edge (52) of the second cover element (11).
Abstract:
An improved rolling pivot for suspended support of articulated panels such as shutters or room dividers in an overhead channel. The pivot features angled engagement of overlapped wheels of the rolling pivot in the overhead channel to thereby allow the supported articulated panels to be closed and opened by directing force to side edges of the suspended panels instead of having to pull the lead panel in the array. The pivot also allows for minimizing the width of the overhead channel and easy insertion and removal of individual pivot assemblies with the overhead channel by a simple rotation of the carriage of the pivot assembly to remove the wheels from operational engagement with tracks formed in the carriage and allow the wheels and pivot assembly to slide through a gap in the channel between the tracks.
Abstract:
Track guided doors, such as upward acting multipanel garage doors are provided with roller guide member support brackets on opposite side edges of the panels for supporting guide rollers disposed in the opposed guide tracks. The support brackets include bearing bores formed by bore walls of the support brackets for supporting elongated stem or shaft portions of the roller guide members. The roller guide members may include leaf springs mounted in grooves on the guide member shaft portions or the support bracket may include elastically deflectable clips mounted thereon, the leaf springs and clips providing resilient members for engagement with the stem parts, respectively, to bias them into engagement with the bore walls of the support brackets to minimize noise generated by the guide members during movement of the door.
