Abstract:
In order to reduce, in a permanent magnet-excited electric motor with at least four poles, the cost for the machining and assembly of a magnet arrangement and to thereby lower the production costs, a magnet arrangement with a magnetic surface radially magnetized with an alternating pole sequence which is composed of three indvidual segments following each other in the circumferential direction, with a pole division extending beyond two adjacent individual segments.
Abstract:
A supported catalyst suitable for nitrogen oxide reduction has an active catalyst coating containing metal oxides, which has been produced by a sol-gel process, on a solid porous supporting body.
Abstract:
A description is given of sensors in in the form of field effect transistors and capacitors which are suitable for qualitatively and quantitatively determining species to be analyzed, for example molecules or ions, in liquid or gaseous media. A special field of application is the selective determination of the presence and concentration of gases. The sensors are defined in that they have a sensitive layer consisting of a heteropolysiloxane.
Abstract:
To produce scratch-resistant coatings, a lacquer which has been obtained byydrolytic polycondensation of at least one titanium or zirconium compound, at least one organofunctional silane and, if appropriate, at least one inorganic oxide component is applied to a substrate and the resulting coating is hardened by heating.
Abstract:
A work location for the processing or finishing of workpieces, includes a protective plate movable through the intermediary of a holder from a protective work position screening the operating person into a non-screening parked position, wherein a braking device is associated with the holder for maintaining protective plate in a predetermined position.
Abstract:
A work position or station including a suctioning device incorporating a suctioning opening for the aspiration of suctionable material which is produced during the processing of workpieces, and a protective plate which guides the suctionable material into the suctioning opening. The protective plate concurrently screens the working personnel carrying out the processing, in particular the head of the person, against the incident suctionable material. The protective plate which is carried by a special mounting support can be moved upwardly prior to the implementing of work without the formation of suctionable material, upwardly away from the suctioning opening in a simple manner into a non-hindering inoperative position.
Abstract:
Membranes based on silicic acid heteropolycondensates are produced by hydrolytic polycondensation of at least one silicic acid derivative in the presence of water and, if appropriate, a condensation catalyst, the polycondensation being carried out at the surface of a support, which supports the resulting membrane. The reactants can be fed to the surface of the support via the gas phase or via one or more liquid phases.
Abstract:
An improved stator for an electric polyphase motor, particularly a stepping motor, is disclosed. The stator includes a pole piece star having axially integral pole pieces arranged in star-like fashion around the hollow cylinder with the radial inner ends of the pole pieces located in the hollow cylinder and protruding a pre-determined small distance beyond the inner wall of the hollow cylinder. Thus, the hollow cylinder is set back from the radial inner edges of the pole pieces to provide minimum sized air gaps without requiring finishing operations on the cylinder after the motor is assembled. The radial outer ends of the pole pieces are welded to the surrounding ring housing by laser beam welding. The hollow cylinder is disclosed as an injection-molded part with the pole pieces molded therein simultaneous with the injection molding. A core mold for the cylinder is also disclosed.
Abstract:
The viscosity of aqueous printing inks for gravure printing is adjusted by means of partially organophilic gels which contain plastics mixtures of at least one polymer swelling in water and at least one polymer not swelling in water or to an insignificant extent only, in a solvent mixture of at least two hydrophilic organic hydroxy compounds and one hydrophobic organic hydroxy compound. The printing inks prepared with the aid of the thickener mixtures of the invention contain up to 90% of water, and can be handled as textile printing pastes.Gravure printing inks on the basis of such plastics gels containing disperse dyestuffs are suitable for the manufacture of transfer printing paper sheets. Since the thickening system adjusting the viscosity contains aqueous alcohols, if any, and no solvents as usual in transfer printing inks, no special measures have to be taken with respect to flammability and explosion risks.
Abstract:
Abrasive compositions comprising a porous, organo-modified silicic acid hropolycondensate as abrasive and one or more conventional components selected from the group of carriers, adjuvants and active substances such as pharmaceuticals, disinfectants, insecticides, bactericides, etc. The compositions are useful in medical and cosmetic applications, such as in the treatment of acne or as a tooth paste, and also in various technical and industrial fields, e.g., as a polishing or cleansing material.
