A coating material having excellent adhesion to the surfaces of substrates including metals and excellent flexibility, durability, chemical-resistance and rust-preventive property which comprises water, a water-soluble organic solvent and a water-soluble, thermosetting resin as substantial film-forming component, said resin being obtained by (A) adding an amine to 100 parts by weight of a copolymer consisting of (1) 50 to 80.5 parts by weight of at least one polymerizable, unsaturated monomer free from hydroxyl group, (2) a total of 19.5 to 50 parts by weight of an .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated acid and an epoxy resin having at least two epoxy groups in the molecule, the proportion of said epoxy resin being 0.01 to 0.5 equivalent with respect to the carboxyl group contained in said .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated acid, said .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated acid having been reacted with 10 % or more of the epoxy groups of said epoxy resin, and (3) 0 to 30 parts by weight of at least one polymerizable, unsaturated monomer having a hydroxyl group in the molecule, the total amount of the (1), (2) and (3) components being 100 parts by weight, the amount of said amine being 0.5 to 2.0 equivalent with respect to the carboxyl group in the copolymer, thereby converting said copolymer into a water-soluble salt; and (B) adding, to said water-soluble salt, 4 to 50 parts by weight of a water-soluble amino resin.

AN INTUMESCENT AGENT IS PROVIDED WHICH CONTAINS THE AMMONIUM SALT OF 4-NITROANILINE-2-SULFONIC ACID AND A POLYMER OF THE MERCAPTAN TYPE WHICH MAY CONTAIN DISULFIDE LINKAGES OR POLYOXALKYLENE LINKAGES. THE ADHESION AND CHAR RESISTANCE OF SUCH COMPOSITIONS CAN BE FURTHER IMPROVED BY THE ADDITION OF EPOXY RESINS.

A method of manufacturing a mineral fibre thermal insulation product comprises the sequential steps of:
Forming mineral fibres from a molten mineral mixture; Spraying a substantially formaldehyde free binder solution on to the mineral fibres, the binder solution comprising: a reducing sugar, an acid precursor derivable from an inorganic salt and a source of nitrogen; Collecting the mineral fibres to which the binder solution has been applied to form a batt of mineral fibres; and Curing the batt comprising the mineral fibres and the binder which is in contact with the mineral fibres by passing the batt through a curing oven so as to provide a batt of mineral fibres held together by a substantially water insoluble cured binder.

Problem to be Solved A thermoplastic polyurethane film that is capable of achieving a stress relaxation property regardless of the type of polyol, while having good pasting workability, as well as a multilayer film using the same, is provided. Solution The thermoplastic polyurethane film is constituted by a reaction product obtained by using dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate (H12MDI). This enables the thermoplastic polyurethane film and the multilayer film to have a good stress relaxation property regardless of the type of polyol, and to have excellent pasting workability.

Provided are black particles containing a copolymer including a structural unit derived from a pyrrole compound and a structural unit derived from a quinone compound, the black particles having an aqueous dispersion number average particle size of 100 nm or less and a zeta potential of −5 mV or less.
