Abstract: Proposed is a phase shift introduction method, a structure, and a circuit device for eliminating or minimizing a risk associated with dissimilar materials, solving in principle a problem of mixing of a signal current and a control current that occurs due to DC connection of a phase shifter to a signal line, and stably and reliably providing a phase shift that is desired to be introduced without being adversely effected by noise generated by an ambient magnetic field, which is generated due to use of an external power supply. A structure according to the present invention includes a phase shifter 101 and a closed-loop circuit 103 that is directly used for computation or storage, and a quantum phase shift is generated in the closed-loop circuit 103 by using a fractional flux quantum captured by the phase shifter 101 that is DC-separated from the closed-loop circuit 103.

Abstract: To effectively utilize knowledge of relationship information among material property parameters the users tangibly and intangibly have in a search system that generates a graph in which material property parameters are nodes and relationships of the material property parameters are edges from a database of material property parameter pairs whose relationships are already known, and conducts a path search in the generated graph. A search system, which includes the database, a graph generator that generates the graph, and a graph searcher searches the graph, further includes a user interface and a user information storage unit corresponding to each user. The user conducts a search unique to the user by inputting relationship information between the material property parameters that he has to the user information storage unit and integrating the relationship information into the above graph. Further, by accumulating a history of searches conducted by the user in the user information storage unit and analyzing the search history, the user can be provided with new knowledge.

Abstract: A photothermal converter using a wavelength selective perfect absorber made of a low-loss metal material or dielectric and a heat detection sensor are combined to develop a sensor that efficiently converts light of a specific wavelength into heat and further electrically detects the heat. Here, since the wavelength selective perfect absorber of the present invention has a periodic structure, it has high directivity, and can also be used as a small motion sensor or a watching sensor using detection of thermal radiation. In addition, it can also be used as a high-precision small position sensor by being combined with a laser light source matching the resonance wavelength of the sensor.

Abstract: A faulted condition determination method is designed to detect a chromium content and a nickel content in a predetermined boundary region proximate to a boundary between a high-strength ferrite steel and a weld material in a welded joint in which the high-strength ferrite steel and another steel are welded together using the weld material containing nickel and to thereby determine the faulted condition of the predetermined boundary region based on the chromium content and the nickel content. Accordingly, it is possible to appropriately determine the faulted condition of welding of a replacement part in which a high-strength ferrite steel and another steel are welded together using a nickel-based weld material.

Abstract: The present invention has for its object to provide a non-aqueous electrolyte for lithium air batteries capable of simultaneously holding back positive electrode overvoltage, reactions of the negative electrode with the electrolyte and dendrite growth during charging thereby making an improvement in the output performance, and a lithium air battery using the same. The invention provides a non-aqueous electrolyte for lithium air batteries, containing an organic solvent and a lithium salt. The lithium salt contains at least LiX (where X stands for Br and/or I) and lithium nitrate. The molar concentration (mol/L) of LiX in the non-aqueous electrolyte satisfies a range of no less than 0.005 to no greater than 2.0, and the molar concentration (mol/L) of the lithium nitrate in the non-aqueous electrolyte satisfies a range of greater than 0.1 to no greater than 2.0.
