Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a portable air compressor having a storage compartment, which may be used to store air compressor accessories. A shroud which encloses a portable air compressor has a recess. The recess is at least partially covered with a cover member, which is mounted to the shroud. The recess and the cover member together define a storage compartment for storing air compressor accessories such as fittings, nozzles, and the like, and/or tools such as a wrench, or the like.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a composition and process of manufacture of a stir-in form of pigment with increased dispersing and color properties. Pigment is slurried with acetylenic dispersing agents, wet-milled to a particular particle size, and then dried to powder or granulate form. Also disclosed is a process for producing a pigmented paint composition from the stir-in pigment.
Abstract:
Phthalocyanine pigments having 0-4 chlorine atoms have a narrow particle-size range with 90% of particles between about 0.01-0.10 μm, the average particle size of no more than about 0.5 μm, a D99 of no more than about 0.3 μm, and a polydispersity of about 2.0 or less. Pigment compositions contain the phthalocyanine pigment and water-based dispersing resin. The pigments and the compositions are compatible with waterborne coating systems, exhibit an excellent metallic down travel, and are especially useful for the automotive painting applications.
Abstract:
A single ducted valve assembly provides an integrated cryopump valve having a purge valve port connecting the assembly to a cryopump with a coaxial connection having an inner duct and an outer duct. A pressurized gas interface connects a pressurized gas source to the cryopump through the inner duct. A rough valve port can connect the outer duct of the assembly to a rough vacuum pump; and a relief valve port can connect the outer duct of the assembly to an exhaust stack.
Abstract:
The flag caddy of the present invention is useful for safely storing multiple flags and a flag pole and includes a rectangular housing with a door that allows a user to hang multiple flags on horizontal flag rods rotatably positioned within the housing. The flag rods rotate horizontally to allow the safe placement of a flag while several other flags are hanging on similar flag rods. A flag pole storage sleeve is also included and allows the safe storage of a detached flag pole. A hanger or hook attached to the top portion of the housing allows the flag caddy to be stored in a closet or in the garage to protect multiple flags from damage, destruction, dirt and wrinkles.
Abstract:
A variety of small molecule, guanidine-containing molecules capable of acting as MC4-R agonists are provided. The compounds are useful in treating MC4-R mediated diseases when administered to subjects. The compounds have the structure IA, IB, and IC where the values of the variables are defined herein.
Abstract:
The present invention contemplates a system for controlling a vibratory conveyor on which a conveyor pan is mounted, the system including a drive coil for driving the vibratory conveyor with a vibrating motion; a sensing subsystem for detecting the vibrating motion of the conveyor pan; a controller coupled to the sensing subsystem for generating at least one control signal to be applied to the drive coil, the controller generating at least one control signal by producing a digitized signal from the detected vibrating motion and computing three intermediate timing positions in each period of the digitized signal; and a switching subsystem for applying at least one control signal generated by the controller to the drive coil. At least one control signal is applied between the first and third intermediate timing positions in each period of the digitized signal to control the vibration amplitude and vibration frequency of the vibratory conveyor.
Abstract:
Novel methods for the in vivo production of phenol from renewable substrates using a recombinant microorganism (FIG. 1). Additionally, methods for the in vivo production of catechol and cis,cis-muconic acid from renewable substrates using a recombinant microorganism are disclosed. A host cell expresses at least one gene encoding a polypeptide that possesses isochorismate synthase activity, at least one gene encoding a polypeptide that possesses isochorismate pyruvate lyase activity, and at least one gene encoding a polypeptide that possesses salicylic acid decarboxylase activity. In the case of catechol, the host cell must additionally express at least one gene encoding a polypeptide that possesses phenol 2-monooxygenase activity. In the case of cis,cis-muconic acid, the host cell must additionally express at least one gene encoding a polypeptide that possesses phenol 2-monooxygenase activity and at least one gene encoding a polypeptide that possesses catechol-1,2-dioxygenase activity.

Abstract:
Pipe fractures in cooling staves of blast furnaces are a common failure mechanism Herein is a repair method for a cooling stave utilized in a blast furnace, the cooling stave having a compromised stave inlet outlet pipe attached to the cooling pipe in the cooling stave, the method comprises of the steps of inserting a rigid pipe into the compromised stave inlet outlet pipe to form a first annulus; inflating a bladder disposed inside the inner pipe and cooling stave; injecting a first uncured epoxy material into the first annulus; permitting the first uncured epoxy to cure; and removing the bladder.
