摘要: A system and method for optically communicating infusion line conditions is disclosed. An infusion line light array includes a plurality of LEDs in a light string configuration. The light array is configured to couple to a fluid-carrying tubing at a plurality of fastening points along a length of the fluid-carrying tubing. A control unit operably coupled to the light array, receives a pumping parameter from a pump interface, the pumping parameter being generated by an infusion pump providing a fluid to a patient through the fluid-carrying tubing, and causes, responsive to receiving the pumping parameter, the light array to display, along the length of the fluid-carrying tubing, a light pattern representative of the pumping parameter.

摘要: Drip chambers, burettes and other IV set components are described herein. An IV set component described herein comprises a chamber body, an inlet portion, and a disk valve. The chamber body defines a chamber volume and an outlet. The chamber volume is in fluid communication with the outlet. The inlet portion is coupled to the chamber body, the inlet portion defining an inlet, a priming port, a drip port. The inlet is in fluid communication with the priming port and the drip port, and the priming port and the drip port are each in fluid communication with the chamber volume. The disk valve is coupled to the inlet portion. The disk valve is movable to direct flow from the inlet to the priming port in a first position and to direct flow from the inlet to the drip port in a second position.

摘要: A coupler including a first connector having a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a first valve disposed between the first end and the second end, a second connector having a mating portion, a connecting portion opposite the mating portion, and a second valve disposed at least partially within the mating portion, and a collar having a body detachably coupled to the mating portion of the second connector and a releasing portion disposed opposite the body, the releasing portion configured to receive at least a portion of the first connector to detachably couple the first connector to the collar and the second connector such that the first end of the first connector is disposed within the second connector. The first connector is configured to decouple from the collar and the second connector and is prevented from re-coupling to the collar once decoupled.

摘要: A valve member for a connector includes a head portion, a body portion, and a circumferential lip seal extending radially outward from an outer surface of the head portion. The head portion includes a top section defining a first seal portion. The body portion extends longitudinally from the head portion and defines a second seal portion at a proximal end thereof. The second seal portion is disposed distally to the first seal portion. The circumferential lip seal is disposed between the first and second seal portions.

摘要: A system, including a memory storing instructions and a processor configured to execute the instructions is provided. The instructions executed by the processor cause the system to retrieve a diagnostic information for a patient, to retrieve a physician information for a physician in charge of the patient, and to determine an anticipated medication prescription for the patient based on the diagnostic information, the physician information, and a medication prescribing pattern stored in the memory. A method for using the system and a non-transitory, computer readable medium including the instructions are also provided.

摘要: An intravenous (IV) spike for administering a medicinal fluid from a container may include a head portion at a proximal end thereof, a base portion at a distal end thereof, and an elongate body portion connecting the head and the base portions. The elongate body portion may be configured to be coupled to the container. The IV spike may further include a radial notch extending at least partially along a circumference of an outer surface of the elongate body portion. The radial notch may be recessed radially inward from the outer surface.

摘要: Fluid connector assemblies that seal off fluid paths in the respective connectors are disclosed. When connectors of a fluid connector assembly are connected to each other, respective compressible members in the connectors are displaced, allowing downstream fluid passage through the fluid connector assembly. The connectors maintain a connection by a snap mechanism that provides a threshold retention force. When an external force greater than the threshold force is applied to the fluid connector assembly, the snap mechanism may no longer maintain the connectors together, causing the connectors to decouple from each other. However, each of the compressible members can return to their respective original positions and shapes to seal off respective fluid paths in the connectors, thus preventing further downstream and upstream flow through the fluid connector assembly and limiting or preventing fluid loss.
