Abstract:
A digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) system and conditional access method for regionally limiting DMB reception. A DMB station collects information about location of a DMB receiving terminal when a broadcast channel with regional conditional access features is being broadcast. According to the current location of a DMB receiving terminal, the DMB station checks subscribers whose reception of the broadcast channel with the regional conditional reception features is limited. The DMB station includes reception restriction information for limiting the reception of the broadcast channel in subscriber entitlement information of subscribers. The DMB receiving terminal descrambles and outputs a transport stream (TS) packet of the broadcast channel according to the received subscriber entitlement information. Therefore, the reception of a specific broadcast channel can be limited according to location of a user of the DMB receiving terminal.
Abstract:
A method of recording and reproducing DMB contents in a terminal having a DMB reception function and a wireless Internet function is provided. The terminal extracts information about contents being provided from EPG information and stores it, in response to a storing request from a user during viewing or listening to DMB broadcasting. The terminal is connected to a multimedia server for providing DMB contents on line in response to a recording request or a reproduction request for the contents corresponding to the contents information from the user, requests the contents corresponding to the contents information from the multimedia server, receives the contents from the multimedia server, and records or reproduces the contents.

A heat generating type ink-jet print head including an ink supply passage for receiving an ink from an ink container, a micro chamber for storing the ink and nozzles, all being directly formed on a substrate, and a method for fabricating the ink-jet print head using an electrolytic polishing process, and a method for fabricating the ink-jet print head. The ink-jet print head is fabricated using an electrolytic polishing process, thereby achieving an accurate and inexpensive fabrication.

There are disclosed methods for the prevention of misfit dislocation in a silicon wafer and the silicon wafer structure manufactured thereby. A method according to an embodiment comprises the steps of: depositing a blanket silicon oxide or silicon nitride on silicon wafer in a chemical vapor deposition process; selectively etching the silicon oxide or silicon nitride, to form a silicon oxide or silicon nitride pattern which is of close shape; and injecting the silicon wafer with impurities at a high density with the CVD silicon oxide or silicon nitride pattern serving as a mask, so as to form an impurity-blocked region is formed under the CVD silicon oxide or silicon nitride through the action of the mask. The misfit dislocation is propagated mainly from the edge of wafer and an impurity-blocked region can prevent the propagation. The propagation energy is virtually based on the tensile stress attributable to the implantation of impurity. Formation of an impurity-blocked region in the wafer barricades the propagation of misfit dislocation because the propagation energy is not supplied in this region. Thus, the area of the silicon wafer enclosed by the impurity-blocked region has no misfit dislocation. By such conception, a silicon wafer free of misfit dislocation can be manufactured. Therefore, there are improved in electrical and mechanical properties in electrical devices, X-ray masks and micromachines as well as in surface roughness.

A real time file alteration sensing-based automatic backup device includes: a backup target selection unit selecting one or more backup targets that are accessible over a network and are subjected to backup; a content alteration sensing unit sensing in real time whether contents of the one or more backup targets are altered or scanning all the backup targets for sensing at particular-time intervals; a backup data generation unit generating, when the alteration of the content of the backup target is sensed, backup data containing information required for recovery of the sensed backup target; and a backup data storage unit storing the generated backup data.

The present invention provides a multilayered plastic substrate that simultaneously satisfies improvement in high temperature thermal deformation according to low linear expansion coefficient and excellent dimensional stability and excellent gas barrier property, and is capable of being used instead of a glass substrate that has brittleness and heavy disadvantages without a problem caused by a difference in linear expansion coefficient between layers, and a method for manufacturing the same.

A liquid crystal display includes a first substrate and a second substrate which face each other and each include a display area and a peripheral area, a liquid crystal layer in the display areas and between the first substrate and the second substrate, and a conductive sealant combining the first substrate and the second substrate. The first substrate includes a common electrode in the display and peripheral areas of the first substrate. The second substrate includes a first and signal lines in the peripheral area of the second substrate, a first insulating layer on the first signal line and the second signal line, and a conductor on the first insulating layer in the peripheral area and connected to the first signal line through a contact hole. The common electrode includes a cutout corresponding to the conductor, and the cutout is at a corner of the display areas.
