    Abstract: According to the present invention, light is irradiated to a finger of a subject and received from the finger of the subject to extract a pulse wave signal, generates an optimized pulse wave signal in a desired type by sampling the extracted pulse wave signal according to a predetermined sampling condition and normalizes the generated pulse wave signal, the entire segment of the normalized pulse signal is divided into a plurality of window segments to detect a pulse wave amplitude value with respect to a pulse wave signal for each window, a first eigenvector for each subject corresponding to a pulse wave amplitude value of the the entire window segment is extracted by using a LDA and then the first eigenvector per subject is compared with a threshold, determines distribution of eivenvectors for each subject compared to the threshold and thus a characteristic of the corresponding subject is diagnosed.

    Abstract: A defect detection device enables easy removal of magnetic impurities. The defect detection device has a structure capable of effectively removing magnetic impurities adhered to a magnetic flux leakage detection device for nondestructive inspection of a small-diameter heat transfer tube or a partially saturated eddy current detection system. With the defect detection device, it is possible to minimize adhesion of magnetic impurities that deteriorate the performance of a leakage magnetic flux detection device for nondestructive inspection of a small-diameter tube of ferromagnetic metal material or a partially saturated eddy current detection system. Further, there is an advantage in that it is possible to remove the adhered magnetic impurities from the defect detection device easily.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for providing digital background calibration for mismatches in M-channel time-interleaved ADCs(TI-ADCs), more specifically providing a pure digital blind calibration technique for offset mismatch, gain mismatch and time mismatch, which are essentially incurred by utilizing a time-interleaved analog-digital converter in systems having to process data with high speeds. Wherein the offset mismatch and gain mismatch are corrected based on statistical characteristics of the digital signals which are sampled and outputted in channel by channel, and the time mismatch is corrected based on a derivative filter and a delay filter. Thereby the present invention relating to a method and apparatus for digital background calibration enables the hardware complexity to be reduced and the efficiency of hardware resource to be increased. The pure digital background calibration of mismatches base on addition, subtraction and multiplication operations is also independent of foundaries and processes, and significantly reduces the design complexity.
