This invention also provides methods for detecting the interaction of a plurality of predetermined compounds, at least one of which having attached thereto a tag comprising a plurality of Raman-scattering moieties.
Abstract:
Implementations of power management in a device are described. The device includes a power driver configured to manage power supply to one or more components in system-on-chip (SOC) hardware. The device further includes power subsystems configured as drivers for controlling the components of the SOC hardware and a user interface configured to receive a selected power mode as an input and identify profiles of one or more applications being executed in the device. Based on the selected power mode, the power driver directs the power subsystems to change a mode of operation of at least one component determined from the profiles of the one or more applications being executed.
Abstract:
An embodiment of the present invention discloses a system and method for decoding multiple independent encoded audio streams using a single decoder. The system includes one or more parsers, a preprocessor, an audio decoder, and a renderer. The parser extracts individual audio frames from each input audio stream. The preprocessor combines the outputs of all parsers into a single audio frame stream and enables sharing of the audio decoder among multiple independent encoded audio streams. The audio decoder decodes the single audio frame stream and provides a single decoded audio stream. And the renderer renders the individual reconstructed audio streams from the single decoded audio stream.
Abstract:
An spectrometer including Raman and LIBS spectroscopy capabilities is disclosed. The spectrometer includes a laser source configurable to produce a lased light directable towards a target substance, the laser source having a single wavelength and having sufficient power to cause a portion of the target to emit Raman scattering and sufficient to ablate a portion of the target substance to produce a plasma plume. A separate remote light collector is optically configurable to collect light emitted from the portion of the target emitting Raman scattering and from the portion of the target producing the plasma plume. A filter is optically coupled to the remote light collector to remove reflected light and Rayleigh-scattered light, and a spectroscope is optically coupled to the filter and configured to separate the collected and filtered light into a frequency spectrum comprising a Raman spectrum and a laser-induced breakdown spectrum. Finally, an electronic light sensor is used to record the frequency spectrum.
Abstract:
Disclosed are compounds of formula (I) wherein D1 is a first dye moiety whose fluorescence properties may be modulated so as to be suitable as a donor or an acceptor in an energy transfer arrangement; D2 is a second dye moiety suitable as an acceptor or a donor in an energy transfer arrangement with said first dye; L is a linking group comprises 2-200 linked atoms, wherein said linking group optionally includes an enzyme cleavage site; and M is an enzyme cleavable group chosen to modulate the fluorescence properties of D1. The compounds of formula (I) may be used as reporter molecules for detecting biochemical cleavage events in assays that employ fluorescence resonance energy transfer.
