    摘要: A ceramic having a plurality of crystal grains that contain lithium and boron, the crystal grains are arranged in a planar direction, and the crystal grains have a mutually same crystal orientation with respect to the thickness direction,the ceramic having a portion defined by parallel sectional surfaces in a thickness direction, the portion being equally divided into a plurality of segments by parallel sectional surfaces in a planar direction, and when the amount of boron in each segment is compared, the thickness of a low boron concentration region, the low boron concentration region being a collection of segments displaying a boron amount of less than or equal to an average value for the maximum value and minimum value of the boron amount, is greater than or equal to 20% to less than or equal to 90% of the overall thickness of the portion.

    摘要: A piezoelectric/electrostrictive element with improved moisture resistance while having less degradation in its piezoelectric/electrostrictive properties and a method of manufacturing such a piezoelectric/electrostrictive element are provided. A laminated vibrator of a piezoelectric/electrostrictive element has a structure in which an electrode film, a piezoelectric/electrostrictive film, another electrode film, another piezoelectric/electrostrictive film, and another electrode film are laminated one above the other. In the manufacture of the piezoelectric/electrostrictive element, the laminated vibrator and a counter electrode are immersed in an electrodeposition coating fluid containing a coating component so that the electrodeposition coating fluid is brought into contact with the surfaces of the laminated vibrator and the counter electrode. Thereafter, voltage is applied between an internal electrode film and the counter electrode to induce electrophoresis of the coating component toward a surface-exposed defect, whereby the coating material is selectively electrodeposited on the surface-exposed defect.

    摘要: A piezoelectric/electrostrictive film device is provided including a thin ceramic substrate and a piezoelectric/electrostrictive operating portion disposed on the substrate. The piezoelectric/electrostrictive operating portion includes a lower electrode film, a piezoelectric/electrostrictive film including a large number of crystal particles having a piezoelectric/electrostrictive composition, and an upper electrode film successively laminated on the substrate. The piezoelectric/electrostrictive composition excludes lead and contains one or more alkali metal elements selected from the group consisting of lithium, potassium, and sodium, and one or more metal elements selected from the group consisting of niobium, tantalum, antimony, and silver. Circle equivalent diameters of at least 90% of the crystal particles in the piezoelectric/electrostrictive film are in a range of 0.3 to 50 μm.

    摘要: A laminated printed coil structure comprising a wiring board having an insulating substrate, lead terminals and connecting pad portions connected to the lead terminals and formed on one surface of the insulating substrate, and a plurality of printed coil elements each having an insulating layer, coil patterns, a pair of terminals for the coil patterns and a connecting pad electrically isolated from the terminals formed on the insulating layer. The printed coil elements are piled up and laminated on the wiring board such that the connecting pad portions of the wiring board, the terminals of the coil patterns on one of the printed coil elements and the connecting pad on another printed coil element are placed in alignment, and that each one terminal for the coil pattern on each of the printed coil elements to a respective lead terminal is connected, and that each coil pattern is from then led out to the lead terminals of the wiring board.
