Abstract:
A method of displaying images includes detecting frequency of ambient light, updating frequency of a display device according to the frequency of the ambient light, and adjusting shutter frequencies of a pair of shutter glasses according to the frequency of the ambient light when the display device is in a 3D display mode. In this way, flickers caused by inconsistency between the frequency of the ambient light and the frequencies of the display device and the shutters of the shutter glasses can be avoided.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a power saving method of a portable Internet device, the portable Internet device and its instant messaging system. If a screen of the portable Internet device is in non-view state, for example, both backlight module and LCD panel are turned off, it means that a user is not viewing the screen, and thus the message update frequency of the instant messaging program is lowered to prevent unnecessary transmission and receiving of wireless signals, so as to reduce power comsumption of the portable Internet device.

The wireless transmission system comprises a control unit, a first transmission unit, a second transmission unit, a plurality of switches, and a plurality of RF ends. The first transmission unit comprises a first transceiver module and a first MAC module. The second transmission unit comprises a second transceiver module and a second MAC module. The plurality of RF ends has a plurality of streams for transmitting a wireless signal. The control unit is provided for controlling the plurality of switches to connect the first transmission unit and the second transmission unit respectively with the plurality of RF ends to distribute the plurality of streams, and controlling the first transceiver module and the second transceiver module to manage the plurality of streams.
Abstract:
A wireless communication system of a notebook computer includes a first antenna, an antenna array module and a wireless local area network (WLAN) module. The antenna array module includes a plurality of second antennas and a plurality of connectors electrically connected to the second antennas via corresponding signal transmission lines, wherein the distance between two adjacent second antennas is identical, and the length of each signal transmission line is equal. The wireless local area network (WLAN) module has a switch unit electrically connected to the first antenna and the antenna array module to select one of the first antenna and the antenna array module to receive/transmit a signal according to an operational mode of the WLAN module.
Abstract:
A wireless electronic device includes a first antenna having a first gain, a second antenna having a second gain, and a processing circuit for alternatively performing a first mode or a second mode. When the first mode is performed, the processing circuit outputs wireless signals via the first antenna, and receives wireless signals via the first antenna. When the second mode is performed, the processing circuit outputs wireless signals via the first antenna, and receives wireless signals via the second antenna.
Abstract:
Establishing a wireless link for a computer includes executing a basic input output system (BIOS), using a wireless module built in the computer to scan at least one nearby access point when executing the BIOS, and linking the wireless module to an access point of the at least one access point. Because the computer can scan nearby access points with the built in wireless module when executing the BIOS, an access point can be linked by the wireless module before an operating system is initialized.
Abstract:
In a method of an internet service, a user inputs a request at a wireless communication terminal device, so as to receive via a data server web contents and data contents provided by a community server over the Internet. The data server selectively re-arranges the layout of the web contents and at least one resolution, compression ratio or the number of color of the multimedia data according to a level of closeness between the user, object owners and the data contents contained in the web contents or the data contents. The re-layout web contents and the re-arranged multimedia data are sent to the wireless communication terminal device for the user to efficiently watch information in connection with his or her friends when browsing the community website or the web page on the wireless communication terminal device. An internet service system and a data server for implementing the method are also provided.
Abstract:
A method to save time needed in battery replacement for a Notebook and a battery detector thereof is comprised of having placed the battery detector containing a voltage detection circuit and a register module in the Notebook. When the power level of the battery falls below a first threshold, a prompt menu including a battery replacement option is displayed. When battery replacement option is selected, the Notebook enters a sleep mode and a numeric value marking the need of an automatic power on for the Notebook is stored in the register module. If the voltage detected by the voltage detection circuit is greater than a second threshold, and a numeric value marking the need of an automatic power on for the Notebook is stored in the register module, the Notebook is driven to perform a power on procedure.

Abstract:
A common assembly structure of laser diode and PIN detector comprises a subassembly structure formed by connecting a laser diode to a submount made of low-capacitance material, and the sub-assembly structure is then implemented on a PIN detector. The so-called laser diode comprises a vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) and an edge-emitting laser (EEL), wherein the EEL further comprises, for example, a Fabry-Perot Laser (F-P Laser) and a Distributed Feedback Bragg Laser. The common assembly structure of laser diode and PIN detector completely separates the anode and cathode of the semiconductor laser from the anode and cathode of the PIN detector thereby effectively reducing the parasitic capacitance effect derived from the PIN detector itself and the assembly structure, and is suitable for use in the high-speed laser driving circuits.
