摘要: A method and apparatus of manufacturing glued laminated wood such as laminated veneer lumber (LVL) are disclosed. The glued laminated wood is made of a number of wood sheets such as veneer sheets which are laminated together by a hot press with a thermosetting adhesive into a continuous length of multiple-layered board of the glued laminated wood wherein wood sheets in each layer of the multiple-layered board are arranged in a staggered relation in the lengthwise direction of the board to wood sheets in an adjacent layer. The hot press has a pair of heating plates arranged substantially in facing relation to each other and an auxiliary heating plate disposed adjacent to one end of each heating plate. The auxiliary heating plate is adapted to press part of wood sheet which extends out beyond the above end of the heating plate.

摘要: The controller circuit is designed to generate the positioning control signal based on the positional deviation of the head from a target recording track on a recording medium. A feedback control is effected to position the head right on a trajectory corresponding to the target recording track based on the generated positioning control signal. The positioning control signal is subjected to filtering at a notch filter. The cutoff frequency of the notch filter is set depending on the temperature detected at a thermal sensor. Even when the resonant frequency shifts in response to variation in temperature, the cutoff frequency of the notch filter follows the shift of the resonant frequency. A narrower bandwidth of the cutoff frequency still achieves reduction in the amplitude of the frequency component corresponding to the resonant frequency. The resonance or continuous vibration can reliably be prevented in the head. A rapid response can be accomplished in positioning the head right on a trajectory corresponding to the target recording track because of a narrower bandwidth of the cutoff frequency.

摘要: This invention provides a high-frequency heating apparatus for heating by using magnetron including an inverter power supply as a magnetron-driving power supply, a cooling fan, and an air guide. The cooling fan is inclined against the vertical direction of the power supply and fitted to the air guide. This structure increases the cooling effect of the power supply. Additionally, the power supply includes temperature sensors provided on semiconductor elements and a controller for controlling the power supply and an operation of the heating apparatus according to the result of the sensors. These sensors avoid breaking down of the power supply caused by overheating.

摘要: A dry PS plate comprises a substrate provided thereon with in order a primer layer, a light-sensitive layer and a silicone rubber layer wherein the primer layer comprises at least one compound selected from the group consisting of those having urethane or/and urea bonds and is adhered to the substrate with a functional group containing silane coupling agent represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein n is an integer ranging from 1 to 3; X represents an alkyl group, a vinyl group or an organic group having a functional group showing affinity to or capable of being bonded to the compound included in the primer layer; R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; and Y represents an organic group which generates a hydroxyl group through hydrolysis or a hydroxyl group. In the dry PS plate, the adhesion strength between the substrate and the light-sensitive layer is substantially improved, the adhesion is surely maintained even after imagewise exposure to light and the subsequent development. The dry PS plate shows excellent image reproduction and the resulting dry lithographic plate is excellent in printing durability as well as resistance to scratch.

摘要: There is provided a water treatment method using a water treatment flocculant that suffers from minimal secondary contamination with flocculation residues and contains an alkaline solution of a phenolic resin. A water treatment method involving the addition of a flocculant to water to be treated and subsequent membrane separation treatment. The flocculant contains an alkaline solution of a phenolic resin having a melting point in the range of 130° C. to 220° C. The water treatment flocculant is produced by a resole-type second-order reaction in the presence of an alkaline catalyst in which an aldehyde is added to an alkali solution of a novolak phenolic resin. The novolak phenolic resin is produced by a reaction between a phenol and an aldehyde in the presence of an acid catalyst.
