Abstract: An engine driven vehicle includes at least one engine, and control devices that are arranged to control a transmission that is driven by the engine. The control devices are arranged to receive at least two sets of data, each set comprising at least one of a first signal that comprises information about the gradient of the surface on which the vehicle is being driven sent from a first sensor, and at least one second signal that comprises information about the vehicle's speed sent from a second sensor, and at least one third signal that comprises information about the vehicle's acceleration. The invention is characterized in that the control devices are also arranged to calculate at least one of two different resistance to travel constants k1 and k2, in response to the first, second and third signals, and to control the transmission in response to at least one of the constants k1 and k2.

Abstract: A method and Domain Name System (DNS) server for establishing a communication session in an Internet Protocol (IP)-based communication network. The DNS server receives a query containing a DNS name of a destination terminal as a search key, and determines whether an IP address for the DNS name is registered with the DNS server. If so, the DNS server returns the registered IP address to the sender of the query. If not, the DNS server sends a wake-up message to the destination terminal which, in response, establishes an IP data session with the communication network. The DNS server then receives an IP address for the destination terminal from an access server or from a Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) server, and returns the received IP address to the sender of the query.

Abstract: There is provided a method for determining the activity of a protease in a sample. The method comprises (i) admixing said sample with a substrate, wherein the substrate has the formula (1a) wherein: R1 is a hydrocarbyl group; R2 is a first peptide moiety; R3 is a second peptide moiety and X is selected from the group consisting of O, S and NH; Y1 is a suitable substituent; Y2 is a suitable substituent; and (ii) determining the activity of said protease by detecting the presence of a reporter having the formula H—X—R1, wherein: X is selected from the group consisting of O, S and NH; R1 is a hydrocarbyl group. The substrate and reporter are useful for determining the efficacy of protease-modulators and candidate protease-modulators and in the diagnosis of a disease or disorder in a subject.

Abstract: The invention relates to a low latency transport of an Internet message over a connection from an Internet message-sending node to an Internet Message-receiving node. Said Internet Message-sending node determines the size of the Internet message (40) and compares the size of with a pre-determined single-packet threshold (42). Thereafter, the Internet Message-sending node performs a TCP Internet message-transport (44) over said connection if the size of the Internet message is larger than said single-packet threshold, and a single-packet (UDP) Internet message-transport (45, 46) if the size of the Internet message is smaller than said single-packet threshold

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system, a Midcom Agent, a method for re-establishing context and a computer program product for performing the steps of said method. In a multi-domain, multi-access IP network there is a need for a method to re-establish context associated with a flow when the end-to-end path changes. The path change is typically due to mobility, but can also be caused by access re-selection (which can be performed for a stationary mobile node as well). Therefore, a method is provided in which the context is moved from one middlebox to at least one selected middlebox via a Midcom Agent. An advantage with the present invention is that it facilitates the transfer of context information from a set of middleboxes to another set of middleboxes. Each set may contain diverse types of such middleboxes.
