Abstract: The present disclosure provides occlusion devices which comprise (a) a self-expanding support frame having a longitudinal axis comprising a plurality of loops each having an orifice, the support frame being self-expandable from a constrained shape to an unconstrained shape, and (b) a covering material covering an orifice of at least one of the loops. Also provided are assemblies and kits that contain such occlusion devices, and methods of delivering such occlusion devices to a patient.

Abstract: Medical devices and methods for making and using the same are disclosed. An example medical device may include a medical device for tissue ablation. The medical device may include an elongated shaft having a distal region. An inflatable balloon may be mounted to the distal region. The inflatable balloon may include a body region, a proximal waist, a distal waist, a proximal cone region, and a distal cone region. A skirt may be attached to the inflatable balloon and may extend proximally from the body region. An electrode assembly may be applied directly to an outer surface of the body region of the inflatable balloon. The electrode assembly may include a first conductive member applied directly to the outer surface of the body region of the inflatable balloon and extending proximally therefrom along an outer surface of the skirt.

Abstract: An intravascular catheter is disclosed that includes an elongated shaft defined by a wall including at least one port extending through the wall into a lumen. At least one channel may be defined between layers of polymer making up the catheter shaft. The channel extends along at least a portion of the shaft and is in fluid communication with the port. Outer and inner diameters of the catheter may be substantially constant along the length of the catheter.

Abstract: A clip for reducing a dimension of an opening in tissue may include a continuous member having a plurality of legs and a plurality of preformed bends connecting adjacent legs, wherein the plurality of legs form: a first group having two protrusions; a second group having two protrusions; and a third group having two protrusions, wherein each protrusion of each group includes two legs of the continuous member and a corresponding preformed bend connecting the two legs, and each protrusion of each group extends from a region adjacent a first end of the clip to a region adjacent a second end of the clip.

Abstract: An example medical device is disclosed. The device includes a tubular member having a lumen defined therein and a distal end portion, the distal end portion defining a guidewire port. The medical device also includes an expandable frame disposed along the distal end portion of the tubular member, the expandable frame being designed to shift between a first configuration and an expanded configuration. The frame includes a base, an end region and a plurality of struts extending between the base and the end region, the struts defining a plurality of apertures along the frame. The medical device also includes a cover attached to a portion of the frame and the cover is configured to cover one or more of the plurality of apertures such that the frame will align the guidewire port with an opening in a heart valve when the frame is positioned within a body lumen.

Abstract: An example implantable microparticle for delivering therapeutic heat treatment comprises a generally spherical body. The body may be formed from a first material comprising a biodegradable material and a second material comprising a Curie temperature material. The biodegradable material may be a non-Curie temperature material or have a Curie temperature lower than a Curie temperature of the Curie temperature material. The first material and the second material are mixed to form a composite having a Curie temperature in the range of 35° C. and 100° C.

Abstract: A transport and delivery system which may be used for injectable materials such as radioactive injectables. The system includes a base configured to hold a material transport device containing the injectable material, and a cover including a material delivery system and a material access device. The cover is configured to be mated over the base to result in alignment of the material access device with the material transport device to allow the material delivery system to deliver the injectable materials from within the material transport device to a patient. The cover may include a handle graspable within an adult hand to facilitate grasping/handling of the system. A priming cap may be provided to facilitate priming of the material delivery system and material access device to be substantially airless.
