Abstract: A shift range control device switches a shift range by controlling drive of a motor. An angle calculation unit calculates a motor angle based on a signal from a rotation angle sensor that detects a rotation position of the motor. A drive control unit drives the motor so that the motor angle becomes a target angle according to the target shift range, and stops a rotor by a fixed phase energization, when the motor angle reaches a target angle. When the rotor vibrates with respect to stop position, the drive control unit maintains a state in which a brake torque, which is the torque generated when moving away from center of vibration, is larger than an acceleration torque, which is the torque generated when moving toward the center of vibration, and reduces the current that energizes the motor based on a difference between the brake torque and the acceleration torque.

Abstract: A shift range control device includes an encoder count unit, an energization control unit, a learning unit, an energization phase count unit, and an abnormality determination unit. The encoder count unit calculates an encoder count value based on an encoder signal. The energization control unit controls energization to the motor. The learning unit learns a wall position that is the encoder count value when an engaging member abuts on the wall portion. The energization phase count unit calculates an energization phase count value that is counted according to switching of the energization phase. The abnormality determination unit determines an abnormality of the encoder based on the energization phase count value and the encoder count value before and after learning the wall position.

Abstract: An actuator control apparatus including a by-wire control circuit, a monitor circuit, a drive determination section, and a prohibition section is provided. The by-wire control circuit electrically controls an actuator acting as a drive source of an on-board apparatus. The monitor circuit monitors whether or not the by-wire control circuit is normally operating. The monitor circuit is provided separately from the by-wire control circuit. The drive determination section determines prohibition and permission of driving the actuator. The prohibition section prohibits the actuator from being driven when the permission of driving the actuator is not determined by the drive determination section. The prohibition section also prohibits the actuator from being driven when the monitor circuit determines that the by-wire control circuit is not normally operating.

Abstract: A shift range control device includes a signal receiver, an abnormality monitor, and a drive controller. The signal receiver acquires an encoder signal from an encoder capable of outputting three or more phase encoder signals having different phases. The abnormality monitor monitors an abnormality of the encoder. The drive controller controls drive of a motor by switching an energized phase of a motor winding so that a rotation position of the motor becomes a target rotation position according to a target shift range. When the abnormality of the encoder is detected, the driver controller drives the motor by faulty phase identification control to identify a faulty phase that is a phase in which an abnormality of the encoder signal occurs, and a normal phase in which the encoder signal is normal.

Abstract: A shift range controller includes a target speed setter that sets a target motor speed for a motor based on an angle deviation between a current rotation position of the motor and a target rotation position based on a requested shift range. A requested duty calculator calculates a requested duty as a drive control amount for driving the motor based on the target motor speed. The target speed setter receives a feedback of the requested duty, and changes the target motor speed at a deceleration time based on the feedback of the requested duty. By changing the target motor speed based on the requested duty, the target motor speed is optimized for responding to impediment-causing factors such as temperature and friction. In such manner, the shift range switching responsiveness is improved.

Abstract: During changing of a shift range (for example, from P-range to NotP-range), an SBW-ECU determines whether it is in a range-change delay condition (a switching completion time of the shift range is delayed than a normal switching completion time). When it is determined that it is in the range-change delay condition, it is determined whether a target range should be changed to a safer range (for example, P-range). As a result, when it is determined that the target range should be changed to the safer range, the target range is changed to the safer range. Thereby, even if a driver determines that the shift range cannot be changed before the switching completion of the shift range and the driver gets off the vehicle, the shift range can be changed to the safer range (P-range).
