Abstract:
The structural platform (11) of the vehicle comprises two tanks (T1) and (T2) for the storage on a vehicle of fluids under pressure. Each tank comprises at least one network of cells (2) connected to one another via orifices (3), the orifices being conformed so that the flow of fluid caused by the consumption of fluid necessary for the use of the vehicle exhibits only pressure drops which do not affect the use, and being conformed so that, in the event of rupture of one or more cells (2), the leakage flow causes sufficiently large pressure drops to limit the flow thereof.
Abstract:
A vehicle having a suspended body (1), at least two wheels (2) each mounted on a wheel support. Each wheel support is mounted on a suspension device (5) comprising a suspension support (4) and means for guiding the wheel support relative to the suspension support. The suspension device allows a vertical displacement of the wheel support relative to the suspension support, the size of the displacement being sufficient to produce the vertical suspension movement required. At least one wheel is arranged transversely on one side of the body and at least one other wheel is arranged on the other side of the body. Each suspension support is connected to the body by a height variation mechanism (3, 7, 11, 12) which allows the relative height of the suspension support relative to the body (1) to be varied. Each height variation mechanism is actuated by height control means (15, 16, 17, 18). The vehicle has centralised control means (19) for the height control means, and the action of the height control means on each side of the body is coordinated so that on that side of the body, the relative height of each suspension support is varied simultaneously.
Abstract:
A tire vulcanization apparatus in which an encaser 3 makes it possible to introduce a tire into a mold 1 and, by means of inductors 42, transfers to the mold heat energy necessary for vulcanization and in which a chamber 5 receives several molds 1 and makes it possible to maintain each mold insulated from the environment in order to limit heat losses during the time necessary for the vulcanization.
Abstract:
The laying of pieces 40 of cord 4 is assured by a laying tube 30 which receives the cord by placing its inlet facing the outlet of a cord distributor, the knife 85 of which cuts the cord just upstream of the laying tube 30. At the end of the laying tube 30 there is disposed a laying head 32 which is displaced transversely along the support 1 on which the reinforcement is built. The angle of laying of the cord is adjusted by judiciously coordinating the transverse speed of displacement of the head 32 and the speed of rotation of the support 1.
Abstract:
The peripheral ring of a sector mold for tires is formed of an assembly of plates 1 resting against each other and stacked in such a manner as to push each other back. The ring therefore has a continuous tendency to increase in diameter. This tendency is resisted, for instance, by a conical hoop which simultaneously pushes all the plates 1 radially in the molding direction.
Abstract:
A process for producing a tire reinforcement is characterized by the fact that each reinforcement cord is projected individually into its place in the reinforcement. For this purpose, a machine is used which comprises laying members comprising essentially a rotary conduit which projects the cord by a radially outer extremity of the conduit and rollers which impose a linear speed of laying of the cord.
Abstract:
Apparatus for making a reinforcement for a tire including:(a) cord retention means disposed in two circles which are a distance apart which corresponds to the length of the path of the cord from one side of the reinforcement to the other so that the cord, disposed in this way, defines a cylinder by a plurality of passes back and forth from one retention means to another,(b) by a suitable movement of the retention means, the cord which is disposed in this way is folded back on and around a core defining the shape of the inner surface of the tire,(c) the anchoring of the cord being assumed, the retention means are released.
Abstract:
A head for mixing and discharging at least two ingredients comprising distributor valves to mix the products, each valve having a stem associated with a lever pivoted to be controlled by a rod which cooperates with a cam ramp carried by a sliding member capable of being displaced within the head and the slide member being movable to stop distribution of the mixed product and recycle the ingredients into their separate storage reservoirs, the machine being particularly useful in connection with the making of polyurethane.
Abstract:
A vehicle (1) equipped with a tank (2) for storage of a fluid under pressure on the vehicle, the tank being connected to at least one vent channel (3 and 33), the vent channel leading to a discharge orifice (34), the vent channel being connected to the tank by means of at least one safety valve, wherein in that the safety valve is a thermal release valve (5), normally closed and capable of opening spontaneously under the effect of a rise in temperature, the safety valve being installed in a predefined zone of the vehicle and the discharge orifice being remote from the predefined zone.
