Abstract:
An inhalation device configured to programmably emit small droplets of multiple components in which quantities of the multiple components can vary with each successive activation of the inhalation device.
Abstract:
A system in accordance with a present invention includes a host device and a fuel cell apparatus with an information storage device. A method of operating a host device in accordance with a present invention includes the step(s) of writing data to, and/or accessing data on, a fuel cell apparatus information storage device.
Abstract:
A light source module includes a lamp assembly having an integrated reflector and heat sink, the lamp assembly having a pressurized gas contained therein, an anode sealingly coupled to the integrated reflector and heat sink, and a cathode sealingly coupled to the integrated reflector and heat sink; and a projector protection system including at least one first projection feature for suspending current flow from the cathode to the anode when at least one first threshold is exceeded and at least one second projector protection feature for stopping the current flow when at least one second threshold is exceeded.
Abstract:
An inhalation system is disclosed that, in an exemplary embodiment, includes an ejector that ejects medicated droplets during an activation event, a conduit fluidically coupled to the ejector and configured to transport the droplets to a patient during an in-breath, and a particle detection system configured to determine whether the droplets have properly passed through the conduit and to the patient during an activation event. Also disclosed are methods for detecting particles in an inhaler system, with an exemplary method including generating a dose of medicament particles from an inhaler system; detecting particles emitted in the inhaler system; and determining if a desired particle flux has been achieved for inhalation by a patient.
Abstract:
A display system includes a mechanism to provide for simultaneous pixelated color with a spatial light modulator. Also included is a mechanism to project the simultaneous pixelated color to create a color field display on a viewing surface. A further mechanism moves the color field display relative to viewing surface to provide at least one of color and resolution increasing wobulation.
Abstract:
A method and system for generating an image. The image includes an array of low-resolution pixels each including a plurality of high-resolution pixels. The display system includes a first light modulator having an array of color pixel elements wherein each of the color pixel elements is configured to independently modulate a spectral distribution of one of the low-resolution pixels and a second light modulator having an array of gray scale pixel elements each configured to independently modulate a gray scale of the high-resolution pixels. The first and second light modulators are configured to cooperatively operate such that each of the low-resolution pixels includes a number of groups of high-resolution pixels each having a different hue.
Abstract:
Alternative methods for refurbishing a single-use ink delivery container for a printing system are described. The refurbishing methods include electrical and mechanical reconfiguration or replacement of original elements on the ink delivery container. Each method utilizes an existing ink fluid outlet, electrical connector and an information storage device on the ink delivery container.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a fuel supply for a fuel cell. The fuel supply includes a fuel storage area configured to hold a fuel solution, a fuel solution outlet configured to pass the fuel solution from the fuel storage area, a waste storage area, a waste inlet configured to pass waste into the waste storage area, and a movable barrier separating the fuel storage area and the waste storage area. The movable barrier is configured to move as fuel solution is passed from the fuel storage area and waste solution is passed into the waste storage area to simultaneously decrease the volume of the fuel storage area and increase the volume of the waste storage area.
Abstract:
The present invention includes as one embodiment a printhead including a flat panel substrate made of a non-crystalline material, an array of inkjet drop generators formed onto the flat panel substrate to define an inkjet printhead and thin film transistors formed on the flat panel substrate that are electrically coupled to the array of ink jet drop generators.
Abstract:
