    摘要: A method of scanning neighboring target RATs (Radio Access Technology). The method according to one embodiment includes transmitting a message including a field indicating whether or not the mobile station supports the inter-RAT handover while performing a network entry process; transmitting a request for information about another RAT only if the inter-RAT handover is supported by the mobile station; and, in response to the request, receiving information about a recommended RAT from the base station. The information about the recommended RAT is selected based on the location information. The method according to the embodiment further includes performing the scanning of the neighboring target RATs using the information about the recommended RAT; and reporting a result of the scanning. The performing of the scanning is triggered when channel quality falls below a certain threshold. The receiving information is in response to, both, the transmitted message, and the transmitted request.

    摘要: A method of scanning cells based on location based service (LBS) information and selecting heterogeneous cells is provided. The method includes, at a mobile station, setting a supplementary field of a registration request message and notifying a base station whether or not handover based on location information is supported, while performing a network entry process, generating location based service (LBS) information while scanning is performed using the coordinates of base stations of an LBS advertisement message received from the base station, if channel quality measured by the mobile station is less than a threshold value, including the generated LBS information in a scanning report message and transmitting the scanning report message to the base station, receiving recommended base station information of the heterogeneous cells selected based on the LBS information from the base station, and performing the scanning on the basis of the recommended base station information. By this configuration, it is possible to reduce a time consumed for the scanning performed by the mobile station and reduce the latency of cell selection/reselection/handover, by reducing the number of target cells which will be scanned by the mobile station on the basis of the LBS information of the mobile station in the scanning process which is performed before the cell selection/reselection/handover between the heterogeneous cells.

If the M2M SMS request is accepted by a base station, the M2M device transmits a second ranging request message including the M2M SMS based on the basic CID, and receives a second ranging response message including a M2M SMS confirmation indicating whether the reception of the M2M SMS is successful or not by the base station.

    摘要: A method of performing a handover in a wireless communication system employing a macro base station and a femto base station is provided. The method comprising: monitoring an uplink signal transmitted from a user equipment to the macro base station; transmitting a handover initiation message to the macro base station on the basis of a result of comparing the uplink signal's strength obtained by the monitoring with a reference value; and performing a handover of the user equipment from the macro base station to the femto base station. According to the present invention, there is provided a method of initiating a handover by a femto base station by fining user equipments located in a cell coverage of the femto base station. In addition, a signaling overhead is reduced by utilizing previously existing information such as uplink transmit power.

A wireless device which makes a transition between Low Power Consumption (LPC) mode and active mode receives, from a base station, an allocation message for allocating persistent scheduling resources used in persistent scheduling. The wireless device communicates with the base station using the persistent scheduling resources, for active duration in which the wireless device operates in the active mode. The wireless device deallocates the persistent scheduling resources automatically when the active duration is finished.
