摘要: Iterative grid-pattern motion search may be performed for each macroblock of a frame of video data. A first motion search is performed from an initial best search point on a set of search points in the prior frame corresponding to a sub-set of pels within the macroblock to determine a best search point. Additional motion searches are performed iteratively, wherein each motion search is on a set of search points in the prior frame centered around a best search point determined in a preceding motion search. The motion vector for the macroblock is then estimated using a best search point determined in a final motion search iteration. A current best search point may be modified prior to performing an additional motion search by shifting to an adjacent search point in a direction indicated by the current best search point.

摘要: A rate control algorithm for a predictive video encoder is provided to accurately control the coding rate while requiring a small complexity. The algorithm assumes the video encoder to consist of two processors, pre-processor and main processor, and the rate control located in main processor uses prediction cost and residual cost for each picture that are computed in pre-processor. Prediction cost represents the estimated number of bits needed to generate an error image, and residual cost describes the difficulty of encoding the resultant error image. Accurate and simple rate control is made possible by using a new rate model that adapts to the local characteristic of a video sequence, and by targeting to maintain the quantization parameter as constant as possible in a given set of pictures, GOP, instead of the conventional two step approach.

摘要: A method for preparing polyester by use of a catalyst. The method comprises the steps of: esterifying either a terephthalic acid, a dicarboxylic acid containing terephthalic acid or derivatives thereof with either ethylene glycol or a glycol containing ethylene glycol, or derivatives thereof to produce an esterification product containing either bis(.beta.-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate, its low molecular weight polymer, or a combination of .beta.-hydroxyethyl terephthalate and its low molecular weight polymer; and continuously polycondensing the obtained esterification product to prepare a polyester, wherein in the said polycondensing step, a composite polymerization catalyst dissolved in an ethylene glycol or an ethylene glycol-containing solution, consisting of a compound of antimony, a compound of titanium, and a compound of tin is used. The method can considerably reduce both the esterification time and the polycondensation time and provides a good color, reduced content of diethylene glycol and reduced concentration of terminal carboxyl groups in the prepared polyesters.
