摘要: A micro-machined acceleration sensing apparatus includes a piezoelectric substrate that functions as a propagation medium. A diaphragm is configured upon the substrate, wherein the diaphragm is etched to form one or more etched cavities. Sensing elements are formed on the diaphragm, wherein a first sensing element among the sensing elements is located on a top of the diaphragm, a second sensing element among the sensing elements is located on a side of the diaphragm, and a third sensing element among the sensing elements is located at a crystallography different orientation with respect to the first and second sensing elements, such that the substrate, the diaphragm and the plurality of sensing elements comprise a micro-machined acceleration sensing apparatus thereof that is clamped at one end of the substrate to an object under an acceleration and submitted to a force at the free end of the substrate to provide signals indicative of acceleration.

摘要: A sensor system for dialysis applications includes a plurality of pressure sensors, wherein each pressure sensor can be provided as an LC type sensor, and/or an RLC type sensor. Each sensor among the plurality of pressure sensors can be inductively coupled with a respective antenna among a plurality of antennas for the wireless transmission of pressure data. A dialysis machine is generally connected to the plurality of antennas, wherein the plurality of pressure sensors monitors pressure during operation of the dialysis machine to generate pressure data that is wirelessly transmitted to at least one antenna among the plurality of antennas.

摘要: A fluid pumping system that includes a motor and a pump, wherein an output shaft of the motor is directly coupled to an input shaft of the pump. This coupling between the output shaft of the motor and the input shaft of the pump may be the primary mechanism for coupling the motor to the pump. Such a configuration may be called a “floating pump mount”, because the pump is primarily coupled to the motor via the shaft connection. As a result of this connection, the output shaft of the motor may be naturally “aligned” with the input shaft of the pump. To help prevent the pump from freely rotating with the output shaft of the motor during operation, a rotational stop mechanism may be provided. The rotational stop mechanism may include at least one resilient member for absorbing or substantially absorbing at least some of any relative movement between the pump and the motor.

A SAW sensor in accordance with an illustrative embodiment can include an electrode structure adapted to transmit and receive surface acoustic waves along a SAW delay line, temperature sensing means for measuring temperature along a first direction of the SAW delay line, and pressure sensing means for measuring pressure along a second direction of the SAW delay line. The SAW sensor can include an antenna adapted to wirelessly transmit and receive RF signals to and from an electrical interrogator unit that can be used to power the SAW sensor.

摘要: An interface device for interfacing automatic test equipment (ATE) with a unit under test (UUT) comprises at least one general purpose interface (GPI) connector body carrying at least one floating GPI contact, at least one twin access contact (TAC) connector body carrying at least one floating TAC contact, and a printed wiring board (PWB). The GPI contact has a first end and a second end. The first end of the GPI contact is adapted for engagement with a corresponding floating contact of the ATE in a manner to permit electrical communication between the GPI contact and its corresponding ATE contact. The TAC contact has a first end and a second end. The TAC connector body is positioned adjacent to the GPI connector body so that the second end of the GPI contact engages the first end of the TAC contact in a manner to permit electrical communication between the GPI contact and the TAC contact. The PWB has at least one contact pad and at least one surface mount connector for mating with a UUT. The contact pad and the surface mount connector are electrically connected via circuitry carried by the PWB. The contact pad of the PWB is adapted for engagement with the second end of the TAC contact in a manner to permit electrical communication between the contact pad and the TAC contact.

摘要: A sensor apparatus and method are disclosed herein, including a sensor element located on a base and a cover located proximate to the base. The cover generally includes a sensor diaphragm and a dimple that can form a part of the cover. A flanged area or flanged portion can also be connected to the bottom portion of the cover. The flanged area provides a surface for contacting a fixture to which the sensor apparatus attaches and holding the sensor apparatus to the fixture in a manner which prevents the sensor diaphragm from contacting the fixture and inducing errors during sensor operations thereof. The cover also can include a flanged or brim-shaped portion which is connected to and surrounds the bottom portion of the cover. The flanged portion can be positioned parallel to the sensor diaphragm.

摘要: A method and system for entering numerical information in a manner that can be easily used by visually impaired individuals are disclosed. Using a touch screen display, for each digit of a multidigit number a first location on the screen is touched a number of times equal to the digit followed by touching a second location. Once all the digits have been entered, a third location is touched. This method allows for dividing the touch screen display into a small number of large area touch active regions, such as quadrants, thus reducing the accuracy required to enter a value since the large area quadrants are easily referenced to the screen boundaries. Further, audible cues are used to prompt the user as well as provide feedback.

摘要: There is provided a fast acting subminiature cylindrical fuse having a cylindrical cover substantially locked onto a cylindrical base. The locking mechanism for the cover comprises a plurality of grooves and a plurality of corresponding projections on the internal surface of the cover and the external surface of the fuse base. The lock projections have a relatively straight diverging upper surface and a rounded bottom locking surface. The fuse base has a spacing ridge on the bottom thereof that spaces the fuse bottom surface above a circuit board surface. The fuse also has a plurality of pressure relieving passageways extending from inside the fuse to the outside of the fuse.
